Just curious whats most peeps memory is runnin on idol with the latest jam (Dec31_28011m2.5). I know there will be lots of variances, just trying to get a feel for memory consumption(leaking?) on this build.

Try taking out the battery and putting it back in. Then hold down the end/power key and the vol. down button. This should put you into the boot screen. If you mean Dusk cooked into EnergyRom, there is a tweet or comment somewhere that he wasn't going to do that since the maker of Dusk makes his own ROM with it cooked in over at XDA. Might be for GSM only so be careful b4 flashing.

Any idea if this new rom has modified Text threading? I have issues because when i try to respond to a message the texting takes forever trying to load the 2 or 3 thousand texts i have and eventually crashes. 2.1 works so much better...If 2.5 text teathering was limited to the last 10 or 20 it would run so much faster but i dont want to delete my old texts. I love 2.5 only if it had better texting teathering i would love to have it.

To get Sprint MMS working: uninstall HTC messaging using Zenyee. Install Sprint Arcsoft MMS cab.

Use these CDMA settings:
CDMA server name: Sprint

Connect via: The internet
Send limit: 5000k

The HTC messaging loads all the messages when you open it but the windows side just loads recent messages with the link to older messages. Is that what youre asking?

P.S. Why does anyone need thousands of messages?

You can also flash via SD to avoid using cables and active sync and worrying about the cord getting pulled at a bad time. You can just extract and put the RHODIMG.nbh on the root of an SD, put the SD in the device, make sure power is off (pull batt & replace if necessary)then throw er in bootloader mode using the method from the post I quoted.

Once in bootloader the device should automatically go to the gray screen asking to hit power to update blah blah. Hit power (I use the top Sleep button here) and it should flash the .nbh within a matter of minutes and will then say update success somethin rather....Hit the soft reset and you should be golden.

I reccomend checking this thread if you are unawre of the SD flashing process. I rarely use a USB cord to flash anymore.
