Ace, I am still getting install Uncessful when I try the dual fix cab. Downloaded about 30sec ago.

However I do not see RC2 anywhere in its name.

Hi, so i am running the latest 28002 NRG rom and these MMS settings worked for me. I have attached the original file that was included in the message below. If you follow the directirons it will work for Verizon. I do have a question though, every time i go to make an mms i get an error "MMS: Invalid argument", the mms sends but any way to avoid the error?

In fact with that said the WM6.5 SMS/MMS Client MMS Composer Version 5.2.7.34 sends and receive MMS messages fine after you configure it correctly without disabling anything.


Here is the easiest way I have found to send MMS Messages on my Verizon Touch Pro 2 without Disabling or installing another program.(You should be able to modify the reg file for other carriers)

1. Open tmail.exe
2. Select SMS/MMS
3. Pick Menu and MMS Options.
3. Open the CMDA Server Options SampleMMSC2 and set the right connect via to use. For me it is "My ISP" Click OK.
4. Since I am on Verizon, I will set the CDMA SampleMMSC as the Default.
5. Open the GSM Server Options SampleMMSC and set the right connect via to use. For me it is "My ISP" Click OK.
7. Download the attached mms.zip file. It contains the Verizon Arcsoft MMS Composer settings.
8. Edit the mm1.reg file and change the following entry to have your Phone number with the leading one:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader2]

9. After you have edited the file. Save it and then import the mm1.reg file into the registry.

You now have the ability to send MMS Messages on your Phone without disabling anything. You will just use Windows SMS/MMS Client to Send/Receive and View MMS Messages. You can still do SMS Messages in the Manila portion. The message will still appear in the Manila 2.5
Messaging portion as a blank message and then you would go into the Windows SMS/MMS Client to view it.

If you setup an EMail account on your phone, it will be the quickest way to navigate into the SMS/MMS portion of the Windows SMS/MMS Client. When you want to send SMS text messages, use the Manila Messaging. When you want to send MMS Messages use the Windows Client.
The MMS message will still appear in the Manila Messaging, it just shows up as a blank message. You then proceed to the SMS/MMS client and are able to view it. I hope this helps some people out.

A fantastically sweet ROM!! Great battery life, superb eye candy, love the lower task bar.

It also has a few issues that I can't find mentioned in here but that I'm hoping can be resolved.

- I can hear my own voice in the earpiece and callers tell me I sound like I'm on a speakerphone. This is a first for me, and I've flashed a few different ROMs.
- SMS messages aren't always sent, despite indications to the contrary. I've disabled HTC Messaging in the meantime, but it is one very sexy messaging app that I'd like to keep.
- Nothing I've done, including installing the cabs indicated in this thread can seem to keep email message reception from flashing the light.
- Locking the phone doesn't seem to work very well, I've often fished the phone out of the holster to find it on.
- How do you terminate programs that don't show a close box (X)? Total Commander is one of them, I need to use the menus to achieve this.

Thanks for any and all help so I can keep using this!

man.. I hate to be a pain in the a55... But I still cant get MMS to work with the stock messaging on the 28002 Build.

I loaded the necessary cabs and even changed my server to http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servelets/mms and made sure the port was 80 and the connect was my ISP.

But i still cannot transfer pics. They attmpt to send, and then a few mins later i get a message that sending failed.

Can someone give me some crystal clear instructions, and maybe put them on the first page? I think its hurting us that there isnt a FAQ on the first page like there usually is on NRGZ's Roms.

Regardless what the FAQ said. the one cab you need is Arcsoft MMS cab and change the server. disable htc messager will screw your sms in sense.

I need to do a hard reset on the 21869, wondering if I should make the switch to the 28002? Are there additional features and/or improvement in performance? Is the MMS issue the same on both? Is there no HTC volume control on the 28002?

It's personal preference. I'm personally prefer 28002 and 2.5, that's just me. I like the more cutting edge. there will be bug here and there but nothing major enough for me to stick with 21869. I like the finger friendly version.

rom has been pretty stable for me (28002).. mms is also working but i keep getting file size attachment limit error anyone know how to increase the attachment size limit? I have searched and haven't found anything I have seen it posted in other threads and probably in this thread too but with so many post I cant seem too find it. Thanks in advanced! I also agree with the post above thsi thread should bee cleaned up quite a bit.
