I would never flash down to 2.1. I wont have anything to show off to my friends about. The weather on the home screen gets them every time. Even iPhone users bow down before that.

i think it will to be honest,but if you do try the 2.1 trust me you wont be unhappy,the only real problem reported on the release is the bg4all cooked in has a gap between the top of wallpaper and taskbar,and no memory leak at all

I think the new builds of 2.1 has that too! Although I dont know if the clouds float across the screen and the rain/wiper stuff but I know it has the cloud/sun icon under the clock. As far as I could tell from a quick glance the only difference was the quick programs under the clock wasnt there.

It was the actual animation, not the weather clock itself that impressed them. Plus, those quick links are so useful. Especially when I am comparing my phone to my Android friends.

Yes, the clouds, rain, snow, and clear sky animation works on 2.1 ROMs all you need is a cab. Been using it since November or so.

2.5 has kewl snow effects... you get snow on your screen as if you had it around the edges of your window & you get snow falling.

which rom do you have to use a cab?? i dont have to with the 1-28,first 2.1 i tried,i didn't know there was a cab

Yeah I thought so but I wasnt sure. I do really like the quick programs under the clock but I think I could live with scrolling to the programs menu. I came from the TP1 after all and back in my day we ALL had to scroll over to the programs tab! You kids dont know how good you have it these days with your quick programs!
