Yeah, HTC Peer was just a glitch, it's working for me again too.

I also figured out a "fix" for my backlight "quick sleep" issue: manually locking the device seems to get things back to normal. I added a quicklink to my Home page for easy access.

i flash very regularly. what i don't enjoy is resetting my personal favorites and reassigning their ringtones, etc.

is there a way i could use mortscript and create a command file to do these steps for me?

i've never used mortscript but it is mentioned often in this thread. is there something better?

I was having issues but fixed it. As others have said, it may be device specific- for instance, while I was driving around waiting for the TP2 to pair with my car (and failing), it tried to pair with a Garmin Nuvi in the car of some guy driving next to me (LOL)

Anyway, what I did to get it working was to use Advanced Config (which NRG is so nice to cook into the ROM), go into the bluetooth settings category, and change the settings:
-turn OBEX: on
-bitpool: normal
-maximum bitpool to: 50
-minimum bitpool to: 0
-sample rate to: 48000 Hz
-audio gateway service: enabled
soft reset
I don't know which of these, or combination, made it work, but its working perfectly now. Hope it works for you.

pimbackup allows you to save your favorites but not the ringtones. Its extremely easy and since i use it to restore my contacts anyway its not much hassle. Sorry but I dont know much about mortscript but you also may want to try sashimi. There are how to videos on using it.

I use PIMBackup too. It restored both the favorites (speed dial, although not in the correct order) and the ringtone setting for my contacts. I think the key with the ringtone is having the same ringtones already on your phone before restoring your contacts from PIMBackup. I just keep my ringtones in a "My Ringtones" folder on the Storage Card. That way it's always recognized by WinMo as a ringtone so I don't have to keep copying them over every time I flash.
