I use PIMBackup too. It restored both the favorites (speed dial, although not in the correct order) and the ringtone setting for my contacts. I think the key with the ringtone is having the same ringtones already on your phone
before restoring your contacts from PIMBackup. I just keep my ringtones in a "My Ringtones" folder on the Storage Card. That way it's always recognized by WinMo as a ringtone so I don't have to keep copying them over every time I flash.
