That is very true. Infact the settings we are messing with "suspend resume" are for gsm. I have had issues with this for all the roms ive flashed. The true meaning i believe is to cache the connection while on a voice call. I have been manipulating it just to get my data conn to shut off. But if you do, the darn phone locks up when trying to answer it. Anything other than #777 will make this happen.

Try this:
Go to Start>Internet>Select 'Data Controller'. Under 'Menu', choose the 'timeout' setting
