up on the Mar 25 vanilla, with Cookie added in afterward, Sashimi for lots of programs and settings (registry entries exported with Sashimi before flash, imported after flash). Looking good and very responsive so far.

Here we are at 12 hours and still 77% battery, I think we have a winner!!! Was going dead at 3-4 hours with the March 20th ROM oh yea no SOD nor any need to hard reset.

Just flashed to 23549 - my first time ever using a custom rom. Loving it so far! Just had a few quick newbie questions. I've only had a few minutes to quickly search through all these threads...

1) I did NOT do the Verizon carrier provisioning first, and I made and received 1 test phone call, sent and received one text, and used a little bit of data. Everything worked fine. Is there a possibility that I was roaming?

2) Should or shouldn't I use *228 with a custom rom?

3) I saw something about a series of resets/flashes/etc., what is that for, and do I need to do that?

4) Are there any other links that would be a good read for a first timer like me? I will probably stay pretty active with this once I get the hang of it, but I'm really hesitant to play around until I get more comfortable. Also, having to take the time to re-set up all my e-mail address accounts and re-sync all my data... if there's a way to back that up, that would be awesome.

1. Not unless you had a roaming icon in the TB. Most things work without prov. but some things like MMS will not work until you prov or set it up your way.

2. Sometimes after hard reset/flash your device will require you to reactivate with carrier. I use *22899 it does the option 1 & 2 at the same time with one call. I don't do it everytime because I flash alot, but others rec doing everytime.

3. Flash dance. One of the biggest controversy issues in flashing! It's a matter of pref and personal belief. It is hard resetting, flashing to stock, hard rest again, flash to custom, hard reset, soft reset. OR just search the thread for about 50 other dif combos and mojo ways we flashaholics roll......... Some say do it everytime you flash a ROM, Some say a HR, flash to new ROM, HR is good enough.......Just search flash dance and read up.....it's detailed....

4. Sahimi and/or XDA_UC and/or SPB for backing up and setting up stuff FAST after the flash. NRG just incorp XDA_UC into the ROM...it's sweet. Search those in this thread they are talked about alot. Also read the sticky threads for the TP2 upgrades forum here at ppcgeek, as well as the general TP2 forum. Lots of reading all around.

Don't be afraid to break it......it's pretty hard unless you get careless. HAVE FUN.....and get ready for the addiction you are about to throw yourself into!

Can you get and send SMS while on the phone on the March 25 ROM? I know I couldn't on the March 19 and it was pretty annoying. I'm on Sprint BTW
