I sent one text message to a contact and every single person I ever text messaged got some random old text from me.

Just got phone calls from 8 different people asking why I texted them or what did I mean.

Haven't heard of this before! I'd say you need to hard reset. Doesn't sound like a bug I would want. Also, keep in mind things you may install play a part in "bugs" found in ROMS.

It sounds like your flash might be a bit buggy I've probably sent and received 40+ texts today, without that problem at all. Are you using the manila messaging program or the plain old stable windows 6.5 messaging app?
