Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Thank you for all your help. I am now downloading R5 and will provision. Sounds like some of you didn't install arcsoft, only edited registry and it worked. I will try it and let you know if it worked.

how can i backup my start menu folders/shortcuts/ renaming?
should i just copy my entire /windows/start menu/programs structure to sd card and delete the new one and copy it back over when i restore?

however there has been small changes that i have been able to spot in the change log. enough to overwrite existing files. i know it can be tedious and time consuming but i been using spb backup for the last 4 devices and i am getting good about what to keep and what to get rid of. if your g/f hates waiting then it's all up to you. see what works best.

Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
I use both SPB U & sprite, but I only use them to restore a full system BU to the same ROM. Although it does have the ROM upgrade mode, I never use it.
When it comes time to change ROM's, I ALWAYS install everything from scratch. IMHO, using the ROM upgrade mode really defeats the purpose of flashing to a new ROM. I also do not want to spend the time to rebuild my system from scratch at this time, so I am still running R3. Everything including MMS is working perfectly for me so I see no pressing need to change at this time. R4 & R5 look to be minor updates anyway. If R6 was released & fixed something like HTC messaging so it would send/receive MMS I would update in a heartbeat, but until a version comes out that makes major changes like this I will stick with R3. ~John |

Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Hey guys. I've only been using energy ROMs for manila 2.5, but i've heard good things about juicy's. I've been happy with energy, but it's impossible to multitask with it, especially using memory hog programs like opera mobile. 90% of the time i use opera it closes or the phone resets itself because of the strain on memory.
thinking about making the swap to juicy... my question is this... does juicy have this memory problem? after regular use for a few hours, how much RAM is in use (percentage)? thanks!
