Guys I don't mean any disrespect to Juicy or his wonderful roms, he's been great. I've been using Juicy's roms since I got my TP2...

For the first time I flashed the new SsS Rom, and I was blown away at how everything just worked right out of the box. It would be what I would expect in Juicy R11 or something. Its very stock - just like Juicy's and super fast.

It has full 2.5 landscape, no problems with youtube, the HTC SMS is super fast and running the new version, so 1st letter of all sentences are capitalized and all, facebook albums work, call logs show little contact icons, caller id's show facebook images, facebook birthdays are on point, startup animation is there, everything just works as supposed to... I am just recommending it because it is very similar to Juicy's rom and addresses a lot of the bug fixes mentioned in this thread... until the next Juicy release comes out, of course :thumbleft:.

And Juicy, I love your roms and consider you among the best, maybe the SsS rom can help out a bit on your bug fixes. Looking forward to the next release!

I hate to say it, but I can say the same thing about the NRG Dusk ROM at this point.

I love the Juicy ROM's, but I have gone through 4 versions at this point & could never once get my phone to ring consistently for incoming calls which is rather important to me.

I have yet to have a single problem with the NRG ROM although I will still return to Juicy's at some point if the ringer bug is ever worked out.

agreed. But then you yearn for the memory consumption of a MM or juicy rom. That said, I'm on NRG at the moment...

Here is a cab to fix the 2016 SMS bug.

NOTE: You must soft reset after installation AND delete all SMS threads which contain the incorrect 2016 date.

The only problem I have with R7 is volume on youtube. I have NEVER had ringer issues. I did have freeeze ups, but once I removed (which I really liked) Swype, the freezes stopped...

I also tried Nrg roms first, and liked them alot (lots of goodies) along with 6.5.3...but the memory was really low after litte use, and the battery would not last long nearly as long as the Juiceman!...still a very nice rom, and another talented chief...

BUT Juicy has my loyalty now...there are bumps in the road...but I am staying with the Juice...bring on R8, 9, 10...I'll test um all!:geek:

Your the MAN JUICY!

Also...just received my 1st MMS...came throuh fine with sense and I can view it multiple times as well...(I am sure sending will follow)

has NRG fixed the low RAM probs? I remember you switched to Juicy cause of that originally... I check in from time to time on NRG's thread to see if it's fixed but i haven't for a while...

JUICY R6 Rocks.. Not sure i'd switch back to NRG even if memory issues are fixed there...

Man, that was one HELL of a NYE party; I woke up with a hardcore hangover and six years in the future. Oddly enough, I still had 70% battery left!

So guys, where can I buy a hoverboard? Pink Mattel preferred. Also, how do I use the three seashells?

My R6 had the ringer not ringing issue, until I uninstalled Coreplayer and Opera 10. Now it rings again. It was a pain though until I removed those programs.

I still keep up with this thread in expectation of a new release - I think Juicy puts out great roms. We all want the same thing, the best possible 2.5 rom with no bugs.

I'm being realistic and pointing out that there is a rom out there that addresses a bunch of the issues that have been discussed in Juicy's rom, and it would be great if Juicy could steal some ideas from it for the next release. I'll be the first one flashing when he does. Until then, I'm just sharing my experience with Juicy and everyone else so that we can all enjoy our phones to the max.

so interestingly enough. since jan 2nd my htc sms doesn't thread messages correctly. 1st off they stack them in name groups instead of like a conversation. 2nd they read 01/02/2016 in the message. then oddly enough on the manila messaging tab they read the correct date. i wiped the device once and this has not fixed it. nothing more than a nuisance since everything else works fine.

I also installed SSS rom and have tried all other 2.5 roms and let me just say I was blown away by the difference in speed and stability compared to other roms out there. I have been running it for 5 days now and i have had no problems at all. Maybe you should install it again after you install stock and see if it helps out your issues. Juicy is a great cook among others like MM but SSS is the best 2.5 rom out there right now.

Re: [ROM] [12/27/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R7 (21887) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Some thoughts:

After flashing to R7 (and expecting R8 within a couple of days) I decided to try a couple other ROMs for the first time ever. First I went to MightyMike's Impact. Interesting, but highly unstable. Juicy was right about 6.5.1-3 not being stable enough yet. And I don't think SenseUI plays totally nice with it either. Lots of random pauses and delays in the OS, some things plain just didn't work right. I do like the look and feel though.

From there I tried the SsS ROM. Looks pretty out of the box, but it too has its issues. For starters SenseUI often puts the tabs under the bottom softkeys, which requires a restart of SenseUI to fix. Second, it has the GSM phone canvas, so no three-way calling. Third, well there was a third, I just can't remember it lol.

Overall, R7 is the best IMO, and I'm back using it now.

LOL. If it was, I wouldn't yearn for lower memory consumption of other roms, since everything does work in his rom.

SsS has no 3 way calling?? Of course it has 3 way calling, just made one. Not sure what you mean about the tabs, never had that issue.

By the way, anyone please upload the black default background that's behind all juicy tabs to this thread for me - it should be in the wallpapers folder... I don't have it anymore.

I went from Juicy R5 to SsS and can make 3 way calls and I have never had the issue with the tabs under the softkeys. So far Juicy and SsS have been the best 2.5 roms I've tried so far!!

SsS is mostly great, but it does have issues with SenseUI. I'm kinda surprised no one else saw the tabs under the softkeys, but it didn't happen to me until day three of using the ROM. And people have made 3 way calls? It didn't work for me then I switched back to R7 this morning and it worked without issue. Either way I did encounter severe slow downs that took 2-3 minutes to self correct on numerous occasions since I flashed SsS (i.e. SensUI would stay at a black screen, eventually show the tabs), never saw that with Juicy R1-R7. Ultimately that is why I found SsS unusable, not because of the 3 way but because I all too often wanted to throw my phone against a wall lol.

Explain it for me, you press the add call button, enter a number, then do what exactly to add the call? No matter what I tried I couldn't get the calls to connect. Eventually I gave up and flashed R7 where it worked first try. On the off chance I see this phone canvas again I'd like to know what to press. Thanks!

I just do what I've always done to conference call... While in a call, hit the send button, dial the number and hit send again. No problems.

Dudes, somebody please send me the .png file with the default black background. It takes a second.
