There is a cab to fix this, I am at work or I would post the cab.

This is a ROM built for speed, stability and heavy use. You will not find any cartoon characters on start-up, out-dated packages or fluff in here.

This is the Touch Pro2 ROM built for professionals.

This ROM is fully XDA_UC Compliant. Thanks Noonski for developing such an awesome tool! Click here for user tips, tricks. Click here to thank Noonski.

XDA_UC & Juicy ROM FAQ's

Q - I press "Customize" and nothing happens

A - You haven't set up XDA_UC! Create a directory on your SD card titled "XDA_UC". Throw all of you cab's, reg's, xmls, mortscripts and manila files in there. You are no longer bound to only customizing your device at startup. You are also freed from having to worry about proof reading your sdconfig.txt file. XDA_UC takes care of everything by doing bulk installs silently, after you press "Customize" on my ROM (it runs a slightly modified script developed by Noonski.

What about the lag? That's the main issue with HTC messaging, not mms.

I don't know why HTC messaging did a half-assed autocorrect.

For example, it will capitalize the first letter of the message but not the first letter of each sentence, whereas widows messaging does...

I hope R7 will have the HTC Messaging working and add it to R7. I know R6 was disabled. Everything works fine in R6 except HTC Messaging sending files has other users dont receive the attached file using MMS.

The looks of htc messenger are great...but not if it lags the phone.

No need for Juicy to include HTC Messaging in R7 since it affects the performance of the ROM for the worse. Those who want it can simply add it back with the cab posted in this thread.

You said your MMS works fine. What is your Sprint MMS Server Settings and which Arcs Software version cab are you using and if so can you send it to me or attach it here. My MMS says it been sent successfully but the other party dont receive my MMS File I sent to him.

Yes ADD HTC Messaging back to R7 has I have posted it back on my phone and it don't lag at all but just don't work in sending MMS files. Maybe you should get a new phone that can perform better or clean out your phone temp files which probably cluttering your phone memory.

I'm not even going to debate with you on the performance issues and lag that HTC Messaging causes with this ROM as it is a known fact. HTC messaging was designed for the LEO with the snapdragon processor and not for the TP2. Maybe you should do some research and realize that there is a reason why Juicy took it out of this ROM as it became useless and caused severe lag after a short while. Performance over eye candy is what Juicy's Roms are about and if you want HTC Messaging you can simply install the necessary cab to get it back, no need to make others suffer through the lag when you can simply add it yourself with a cab install.

well I find it really annoying that the HTC Messaging doesn't capitalize the first word of each sentence.

I'm really curious- MM makes claims that his rom starts at 40%. How does he do it?

i dont want to get in a complete rant but: 1 the same can be done for those to disable htc messaging, INSTALL A CAB! 2 if you cant live w/ issues on a custom rom, STOP FLASHING ROMS that have known issues, stick w/ 2.1. 3 sense 2.5 is all bout eye candy cuz ITS NOT MADE FOR OUR PHONES!

we all knew what we were getting into w/ 2.5, but why half ass it? same goes for the newer 6.5.x roms if you need everything working 100 percent stay w/ stock or flash only the 2.1 roms. if you can deal w/ sum problems thats where 2.5 comes in.

i thought the only reason juicy took it out in the 1st place cuz of all the WHINNERS! if you felt you had to complain bout known issues, you shouldnt be flashing certain roms. plain n simple. and now you all got your way you keep bizitchin at that people that want THE FULL 2.5 ROM EXPERIENCE. even if it HAS LAG.

IM TIRED OF THIS SHIZIT, i never told the posters, when they complained bout the lag w/ htc txt, to flash back to stock if you cant deal, well now maybe thats the case, flash stock if you cant deal

+1 FOR FULL 2.5 EXPERIENCE

whoever i quoted, sorry but this isnt directed to you as singled out, but to all, dont take it to offensive. an i also not trying to start a bashing war, just getting frustrated w/ the things being said in this thread

I wouldn't have said it so rough, but I agree. I was on r3, r4, and r5. Loved the ROM and keep following the posts, but I left awhile back. Having fun with 7ppc, Silence, MM War & Impact. But I bet Juicy puts the messaging back in soon because the mms stuff is getting worked out.

Anybody know when we are going to see some of the new HD2 rom links come to us? I would love to have that documents tab in manila!

No offense taken we all are entitled to our opinions, and once again juicy's rom is not strictly for eye candy purposes. As a matter of fact speed and stability are his main niche with his Roms compared to others. Thats one of the first things he states on the first page when introducing his Rom this is from juicy himself "This is a ROM built for speed, stability and heavy use." None of these are possible with the lagging HTC Messaging which causes the phone to freeze and lock up. This is why Juicy's Rom is better than the rest, he doesn't just give you a rom to say that you have a Leo Rom on your phone, he addresses the compatiblility problems with the Rom on your phone and optimizes it so that it is usable. If you or anyone didn't care about speed and stability of the Leo Rom you would not be using Juicy's Rom as there are other Leo Roms out there however you chose juicy's due to the speed and stability. If Juicy does decide to cook the HTC Messaging back in R7 then thats by his choice and if he doesn't then people who like it still have a viable alternative. But remember speed, stability and a phone optimized for heavy usage has always been Juicy's MO.

yes it is up to juicy in the end but by disabling htc messaging it in return cripples message tab 1/2 way and also saving a contacts txt on people tab. which imo isnt a good replacement, so i had to install cab to get back functional

If anyone else has the phone not ringing bug, which I have had for the last 48 hours, I used taking the phone out of Sense into Windows Default, then soft-rest, then back to Sense trick and it does work.

With this ROM is there a way to easily set the Ringer Volume and System volume to be different? I use that often when I'm at work listening to music with my phone but dont want the ringer to go off. I know with this ROM if you press the volume keys on the side there is only one volume. There was a cab that I used to load on so that there would be 2 tabs one for Ringer Volume and one for System volume. Is there a different way to easily change each of the 2 volumes with this ROM?

Thanks,

I'm having two problems so far with Juicy r6 that I'm hoping hasn't been dealt with thus far:

1. If I use the camcorder, then try to take pictures, the camera defaults to the camcorder, and won't take pictures until I go through some very funky gyrations...anyone else seen this and/or know how to fix it?

2. How do I enable all camera modes in r6? They're not showing up in the camera settings...

thanks for your help

Re: [ROM] [12/09/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R6 (21884) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

juicy, in r7, can you please remove the following registry keys

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BaseDll"="phcanOverbmp.dll"
"BatteryIconIdStart"=dword:000003e9
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:00000015

(the dwords might be off but remove them completely)

so that the only things left in there is:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BaseId"=dword:00000000

thats all you need to enable the 6.5 nicer looking battery meter on stock taskbar

also please cook this in:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Unattended]
"wav1:"=dword:00000000

this will allow the phone to keep playing music when power button is pressed

If you goto the Setting Tab and then Sound and Display, under the Volume section, turn OFF the "Single Volume" switch. This will allow for separate volumes.

Ahhh, a self-quote! Ugly, I know. But.... I thought I fixed my ringer problem last night. But what I discovered today is that the the phone only rings with with known contacts, and only if they have a ringer set.

All new contacts start with a default ringer of NONE. So unless I manually add a ringer to each contact the phone will not ring. If a caller is unknown, the phone will not ring.

Any thoughts on how I might fix this?
