All our Google IMAP accounts are set up to use SSL to imap.google.com. Here's the procedure I used:

1) Launch the "real" Email application (Start button, Email)
2) Set up an email account and select "Other"
3) Start filling in the information--it will tell you it found the settings for Gmail
4) After setting up the account, tell it not to download email
5) Go into the mailbox and select Tools and Options
6) Pick the Gmail account and select Edit Account Setup
7) Ensure the incoming mail server is "imap.gmail.com"
8 ) Click thru and go into "Advanced Server Settings" and check both Require SSL boxes

Everything should work as advertised!

Anyone else having issues getting Groovefish to work right with the latest ROM? I never seemed to have any issues before but now all songs get stuck on "Requesting Stream".

Groovefish works for me, no new .dll.

But the service is picky: not all songs work. But I just tried it and it's working for me. Is there a newer .dll from the last week or something? Because I have the 3rd .dll fix in there already.

Edit: I'll check the .dlls and if newer, will add in next release.

then hes good mal, this dll is like 3weeks old but i put it in outa habit. btw, did you try the new shazam music id app yet? its friggin crazy what this thing does.

Just flashed my first ROM 6.5.3, and this was the one I chose. I love it so far Mal, awesome work. Very fast and responsive.

Questions though

1. Is there a way to enable the vibrate when pressing over to a different tab? The oem rom had this.

2. Ev = 3G right? It says EV in the top.

3. -- nvm this one. Figured it out. (was about folders in the start menu)

4. When I was trying to type up a text, is there a way I can select certain text? I can double-tap and it'll select a word, but say I wanted to select a bunch?

5. Where can I find the task-manager? I see it in a screen-shot in the first post, but don't see it on my phone.

That's it for now. I'm still playing around with it. I hope I didn't ask toooo many questions.

I do not know if the build I used yesterday is the one in this paticular thread or not. but if you are going to build a rom and make it publicly available you need to leave the obscene things out of it.

I was with a client yesterday when I got an email and my phone started playing cuss workds. This was not cool.

If you're referring to the jetson's doorbell, etc, I understand what you're saying, however it was clearly noted in many posts earlier in the thread that it was NSFW as other's commented on it as well.... User Beware... You can also test each and every sound when you're setting the phone up to make sure it's gonna be acceptable at work.

Birddseed: Totally agree that the default email alert isn't approrpriate for some of us. But it's an easy thing to change. Go into the sounds setup thru touchflo or the winmo settings screens, listen to the default sounds, and change 'em if you'd prefer. That's what I did. Doesn't take much time.


I think EV=3G for us CDMA folks. Task manager is there -- just press in the upper right corner on your home screen and you'll see it.

1. Settings --> System --> Touch Options

4. Not sure, text selection is wonky with Sense/Manila enabled. What app specifically are you trying to select text in?

5. 6.5.3 doesn't have a Task Manager readily available, but there is one under \Windows--you just have to find it and create a shortcut to it. Or maybe go with a 3rd party option.

FWIW, went to the system screen to change themes/appearance in 6.5.3 R5. After selecting and viewing a few different themes, the icons on my application screen filled the screen with white "ghost tracks" after scrolling them.

Decided to reboot, and my unlock screen (for corp exchange) froze. I couldn't enter my unlock code and it just sat there. It beeped 4 times and that was it. I tried soft resetting several times with no success. Finally performed a hard reset and was able to boot.

I'm loading R6 since I have to start over anyhow :(

Pls let me know if you have any insights -- anyone experiencing the same problem?

I guarantee that issue is 100% fixed in b6--that was one of the main fixes for that release :)

Has anyone had success using an unlocked Sprint Touch Pro2 on the USA AT&T network with this ROM?

Mal just downloaded 6.5 2.1 off the link however something is wrong...when you try and unzip or open---it is telling me nothing is there..can you take a look on your end..thanks again for the help

I'm trying to download, also, and it quits at 40meg, sometimes 70meg, it never gets it all. Is that a mediafire issue?

Thank you for a very polished rom. Please keep up the good work. No matter what I flash to my TP2, I ALWAYS come back to your rom for the stability and speed. I got my dad into flashing roms on my old TP1. Now, he wants to upgrade to a TP2 just to flash to your rom. He was hooked when he heard your email notification sound lol!

I find that I can select text, but I can't do anything after that. No cut,copy, paste. After clicking menu, there is no option to select text.

I can in Windows though.

on 6.53 latest, my dialpad completly dissapeared and notifications i select like show new texts popup are not sticking, not after softreset but they work one text but gone for the next.

Ya it's on mine too. Been there since I installed smart lock 1.9b. It's not causing problems so I am not gonna complain. lol.

Weird. Mine is still here, lol. Will take a look at notifications.
That's the "Leo" lock screen by HTC. Adds a calendar section. If you have an appointment, obviously it shows there. If not, yeah, it's blank. Not dynamic in that sense. Still, it fills wasted space so...
