Has anyone found a screen rotator that works? I have tried 3 different without success. Thanks in advance.

I'm now using 23xxx because it's quite stable and fast and has the threaded email, which many, including myself, wanted. If you liked 28014, you'll be happy with 23518. Hope that makes sense.

A few apps will exhibit that. I may need to update "Position fix".

See, Mania 2.1 isn't meant to run on 6.5.3 yet. Due to the smaller task bar/larger bottom bar, alignment is off. So someone made an app to fix it..."position fix". But sometimes it's a bit off. Will look into it.

Yeah I wasn't sure which version you were using, so I installed the most recent version of the position fix off XDA and was messing around in the registry but couldn't figure it out:

I was messing around with the WindowClasses entry, but I'm not sure on what to put in for the HTC Call History - thinking that might fix it if I know what to put in there! :)

im on sprint and used all mal roms and never used provision cab and all works fine for me, just putting that out there.

I wasn't using the provisioning cab either. however, I just installed it b/c I noticed that I was missing the update profile...so I installed it just in case I ever need it.

So there are a few "branches" of WM6.5.3 and they all sort of concentrate on different things.

I'm now using 23xxx because it's quite stable and fast and has the threaded email, which many, including myself, wanted. If you liked 28014, you'll be happy with 23518. Hope that makes sense.

so 23518 is better than 28014? well ok then if u say it is then it is lol i dont use the email much just to check i really dont reply i just wanted something that is like 80 percent stable cause i have to prob system restore my phone like once a week so i can never set it up like i want to i would leave some stuff out cause i know its going to get deleted later on but ok will download when i leave work thanks :)

Yeah, in this case I'd say it's either the same or slightly better. IE is also new in 23518 and there are some other smaller changes.

No downsides compared to 28104 as far as I know.

It does - if you run the Manila Start Menu in the MalROM folder in My Documents and do a reset -

Is ziggy's 2016 sms patch cooked into this rom? I want to apply the official HTC fix but the instructions say that if any other sms fix is applied I have to hard reset the phone first...

Well, Ziggy's thing is just a simple 1 to 0 registry change. There's no replaced files or patched .dlls.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\SMS]
"RecvTimeStamp"=dword:00000001

turn that to 1 to a 0 to disable.

I don't get why one has to hard-reset to do this "official" update.

I'll probably cook the new fixed .dll into future ROMs, but to be honest, I see no benefit in installing the official version.

Same thing here. Can't get auto rotate to work. Screen rotates to landscape if I open the keyboard but goes right back to portrait when it's closed, regardless of how I orient the TP2.

I've tried HD Tweaks, the std settings, and G-Config with no success :(

ok so ima download the 23*** rom cause the 28014 jsut crashed on me again so as we speak im doing a system restore and then myphone my stuff back told u i do this like 4 times a weeks :( it does get annoying at times but i want the lastest software

Confirmed. Kinda a PITA to setup, but it works.

Also, the other app attached is suppose to work.

Have you flashed to a stock ROM then to my ROM? You should give that a shot.

Not many people are having crashing issues and I've had about 600 downloads of that specific ROM....

anyone having gmail imap issues with the b5 6.5.3 rom?
i was able to sync the 1st time.. but since then.. it keeps asking me for the password and then says connecting.. and the password windows comes back again..

i am going to reflash to stock and come back to b5 again.. but anyone has noticed this? pls. share..

What happened to I don't care for icons. LOL.

Has anybody gotten a tmobile sim card to get data? I enter my settings and soft reset and the sprint settings keep on showing up and defaulting upon soft reset. The thing is I choose to permanently delete it...

I noticed this on Medium Hills Rom which is also 6.5.3 Build 23518. Finally flashed to Mal's 6.5.3 Build 28014 and had no problem. Must be a problem with 23518.

Pdawg are your emails coming right through as they are sent or do you have to hit the send an recive button to get them???

They come right through...although now that I think of it I am using the "m.google.com" server - not "imap.google.com"...are the two "done differently"? My method is still "imap-ish" ;)

ok looking for some help as I just may be crazy, but cant seem to find the new 6.5 2.1 ROM..post #1 takes me to only titanium..does anyone know where I can find the latest rom? thanks

This is my own custom ROM that I have been working on in private for a few weeks. I get a lot of requests to share my setups and ROM preferences, so here you go.

This ROM has a lot of custom tweaks and optimizations meant to make the device as quick as possible (listed below). In fact, I think you'll be quite surprised at how responsive it by way of comparison.

It was built on a heavily modified SSK (Scott's Simply Kitchen), so please feel free to donate to him for providing that platform. I also borrowed a few ingredients from Calkulin's kitchen. Having said that, a majority of what was done to this ROM is not found in either.

This ROM has been beta tested by numerous folks over the last few weeks, notably BigD5, who was indispensable for feedback. I'd also like to thank Fards, Mr. Makk and especially Redd214 & Rawdikrik (for custom Action Screen).

r u sure.. u r using m.google.com for imap4 type settings?
its usually reserved for active sync config.

i'm still having issues with imap for gmail. i'm hesitant to use m.google.com.. dont want to be banned or locked out of gmail. lol...

anyone have a cab that would disable the HTC messaging? I know some say that this one is fast, but I'd still like to just stick with the standard windows messaging because I find it to be quicker. TIA
