wow, beginning to think this ROM is a deadend.
this thing is bleeding memory like crazy.
does the "x" not close out programs??? because after I exit out, I have to go into task manager and physically close some programs.
I will investigate further.

man, I love 6.5.3 but if i can't get this ROM working a little smoother, might have to go back to stock or try a diff. ROM. having to soft reset several times a day, is not my idea of fun.

You must have not done a clean flash, read up on how to flash roms and to make sure you clear storge etc. I used to have problems with roms because of that, most complaints about bugs are user error, most roms are betea tested and I my self been using this rom from day 1 and this is by bar the fastest most stable most memory and can run the longest without a soft reset , I can run 10 apps and it still runs smooth, close them out. I soft reset about once every 3-4 days for gp or if I am going to play starcraft. You might want to take a look at the programs you install to. Hope this helps.

i installed from fresh start, flashed back to stock, ran clean memory on top of that.
start out with 80-90mb on soft reset. it quickly drops to 40-60mb free within a couple hours of use. i am considering reflashing, but i need to figure out xda-uc first.

On his 6.5.3 Titanium only ROM, it is tied to the ActionScreen.

trying caulkulin's kitchen 6.5.x titanium only with mobile shell for now (at least till mal is back). getting 110mb free ram on start up and 100-105mb after a night of use. have not had clean ram or oxios once.
of course this is the honeymoon period so we'll see how it goes.

On 6.5.3 ROM's the x will not close out the apps, you need to manually do it with memmaid or some other task manager/resource. I'm not currently running Mals ROM but when I was, his 6.5.3 2.1 was incredibly solid with no memory leaks, great batt life, etc. You just need a decent task manager to be able to close out apps when they're no longer needed.

that must of been it. problem was that his task manager shows all things running (including system processes). I tried arkswitch, but still seemed to have memory tied up.
I have x-task and arkswitch on my caulkulin kitchen ROM now. i'll try that out for a bit.

What program can I use to turn off the screen when I'm using the Music tab? The power button doesn't work.

I used an option in WkTask before I switched to 6.5.3.

I know I can use a different media player, but I prefer HTC's music tab (other than the inability to search).

When I slide out my keyboard to send a text and slide the keyboard back....the screen does rotate back to portrait....it stays in landscape....how do I fix this?

does anyone know how to change the color of the font in manila? or reapply the envelope or letter to the sms tab in manila? i have this white theme that i like and its hard to read the characters in manila because its white text on white background in spots

I posted it in MRX thread it has the Mal sounds thx to DarrenWlsn.....plus I added a bunch of droid sounds that I liked....it will be in the paperclip....I think it was named Mal sounds....if you do not find it let me know and I will get it to ya...

Lost my windows start menu, now when I hit start it brings up the window that looks like the programs tab on the slider. Any idea on how to get the windows start menu back?

Scratch that I think it was the manilla start cab I installed, removing it seems to have fixed the problem.

Damn now if only I could thank myself...

It was really plauging me and the worst part was I couldn't bring up the start menu to get to the remove programs tab. Which on a side note might be nice to have put back into the manilla setting tab on the slider. I've seen it in there on a few roms.

Ok its been somtime that I have posted. Been running this rom from day 1.

This is what I did to make the rom perfect for me, nothing big.

I am a Verizon guy, so I did disable rodium sms but installed (imnuts Verizon ArcSoft MMS 5.2.6.45U) and sms mms works great just need to pick picture instead of mms.

One thing I did find out is you need to clear storage first then flash. I never have to do a soft reset as I run 54-57 all the time even after two weeks. I soft reset somtimes if I am going to play a demanding game.

This rom basicly flawless cant thank malrom enough for all his work.

Mal where are you at? 6.5.3 rocks I had problems with manila 2.5 hoping when you get time to spend on other rom that could be the best rom out there like your 2.1. any how I see all these new manilla 2.5 roms and just hoping to use yours. Hope all is well. :)

I don't understand why Malatesta has "fled". He is still writing for WM Experts, so I really don't understand why he's gone. He could at least post a note saying he doesn't have the time to cook or support ROMs anymore. But to just disappear like this????

Hey Guys,
I just started using this ROM, and I love it except for the weather animation on the homescreen. I've never liked the animated weather, and also never had a problem getting rid of it on any other ROM except this one. I have tried all of the registry changes that i've found. I've tried setting the wallpaper to a non animated one, but those clouds still fly across the screen!!!
