Mal,

Not sure if you have seen this full screen 6.5.3. compatible Task Manager over at XDA, but it is shaping up to be a very good Task Switcher. Even better than the Xperia version. Perhaps it's some thin you could look into cooking into your next ROM.

It is a little buggy currently, but I love that I can quickly access it from any app.

Not really. I mean I'll do some minor tweaking, update some apps, maybe remove some stuff, etc.

But currently, there are no new WM builds out to update, ergo no new "killer" features. So I'm not sure what else I can do. Well, I still need to do some custom icons and organize the Start Menu--so that's something.

Have a busy weekend though and I'm finishing the Treo Pro ROM, so it'll be awhile before the next update--maybe by then there'll be something big to talk about too.
Cool. Will keep an eye on it and look to incorporate. Lord knows we need a better task manager. Although I'm using Task Facade right now, which is sort of cool.

Visually it is pretty awesome, but I find it a tad bit slow, plus lacking to display system info (memory usage etc).

i used to run that on my vogue and mapped it to the camera key.... it was sweet. but i agree, it almost seems slower on the tp2 than it does on the vogue.

I have this same issue. I'll try deleting my text messages one by one til they start coming through correctly. Do you use My Phone by chance? I think it had something to do with how I received text messages prior to syncing with MyPhone after the initial flashing.

Yes. although I don't think there's a provision cab, but there are MMS set ups for USC.

The best version I found was the January 4 version. I think it was b4. I can post both 6.5.3 and 6.5 if still needed. Other than the weird hard reset issue, I've encountered no problems with 6.5 b6.

Probably been covered before, but can't seem to find anything.... anyway

I've noticed that some programs just won't work on these 6.5.x roms, and some will, but not fully. Example, Pocket Express will work on this ROM, but the weather tab in Express won't show any weather. It wil show cities, but when I click on them I get nothing. Also, if reading a news story, if I click on the photo, it opens, then closes and gives me an error and shuts down express. Another one is Pocket e-Sword, for some reason it won't work either. Loads up, but won't find the bibles.

Also, GPS Weather Radar just gives me an error and won't load at all.

I'm starting to think it must be some compatibility issue or something since it seems to be on any custom ROM I use. Will someone explain this to me, and tell me if there is a fix for this? I'm almost thinking it has something to do with .netcf, but not sure since I don't "think" Pocket e-Sword uses .net, but I could be wrong....

What's the scoop?

Is your phone unlocked? Have you flashed before or are you still on stock? I would start by backing out of this thread, go into the HSPL/unlocker thread and read at least the first few posts in there from Cmonex then read about flashing, it's actually relatively easy but there are still inherent risks. I'll see if I can find the thread for you, but searching for it should be able to get it for you. Only use the HSPL from this forum...DO NOT use any other or you may have issues. PM me or post your questions if you're unsure of something, there's plenty of great people to walk you through it here.

I don't use pocket express or pocket e-sword, but I did just try GPS weather radar and it loaded up fine when I prompted it to load location and radar. I know most of the apps I'm loading do note some verbiage about not showing up correct due to the later version of windows but I haven't had any problem with it. What CAB are you using for the GPS weather radar? I also think all custom ROM's have updated .netcf.

Also, any way to get hardware zoom working in IE and Opera? I have yet to find a 23518 build that has hardware zoom working. In IE when you try to hardware zoom, IE seems to freeze up for a bit.

I use it. Works just fine.
Download this version and try. I'm using it on 6.5.3 w/out a hitch.
We use it on WMExperts to link to software. Like this story yesterday. It's great for stuff like that.
Yeah, will probably get around to doing that, though it's not like an amazing new thing.

Will look into the zoom bar. Personally, I find it the most superfluous "feature" on the TP2...i never use it.

Mal, I finally got to see how it works. Thank you. pretty nice.

I actually think the hardware zoom is pretty nice. I don't like adding the documents scrolling hack b/c it seems to mess things up though.

Slimbrown: I'd like to try arkswitch on my MalROM 6.5.3 1B6. How can I install it without conflicting with the taskswitcher that's built into the ROM. Is there a way to disable the Xperia version and then install ARKSwitcher?

How much program memory do you have???

I'm running Manilla on 6.5.3 1B6. If I soft-reset, allow manilla to load, and then check available program memory using the Xperia task manager, I've only got 69.7MB free. Seems like there should be more available. Is this typical, or is there something in my TP2 config I need to resolve?

where can i go to find older versions of your Mal Rom?
before you started making 6.5 roms you had the most stable rom i've ever seen i want to go back to it.. but i don't know where i can find it =(

i don't think there is a way to disable the xperia one, but the arkswitch doesn't conflict with it. xperia is the top right corner, ark is the top left half of the screen. they can work side by side lol.

Yep, I actually prefer to use both as currently Arksitch doesnt provide the System info like the Xperia one. I am really digging Arkswitch because it is quick & can be accessed on almost all screens.

I never worry about how much free RAM i have until it actually causes an issue, which it never does. I usually running at least 4 apps at once with my staples being: Messaging, Pocket-player / Nitrogen, Resco File-explorer and Opera.

WOW.. I knew off the bat this rom was gonna be hot! when I restarted and it booted up like a computer =)

Only thing I don't like is the animating weather on the clock/today screen. Can this be stopped?

I just flashed to that ROM and...all I have to say is DAM!!! Its probably the smoothest I have ever tried!! Its so Snappy. I tried the latest and prefer the one on the link. Love the start up though, very creative! =D>

i am about to gift away a SIM unlocked verzion TP2 with MalROM v1.5b6 WM6.5.3 + Sense 2.1 on it. to be used with Airtel/India.
the chances of this person ever upgrading the ROM is slim to none.

can i confidently and comfortably send it away. thinking it will last for the next year or two?

pls. suggest any possible tweaks that should go in before its too late.

Anyone know the settings to activate PagePlus on a Sprint Touch Pro2 running this ROM (6.5.3). I activated my MEID number with PagePlus. I switched the network settings to CDMA only, but can't get it to activate...
