Re: <> 4-11-2010 <}{> Medium Hill ROM's <}{> Sense 2.5 <>

been running this ROM hard. i can't find anything wrong. i would rather it had the htc volume, but no big deal. oh and i do wish that i could find a taskbar that worked with it, but i guess people will have to update those for the new SYS. i even just installed the new cookie 1.7 and it works awesome. it does slow the superhuman speed of this rom to mere mortal speed though, but to be able to rearrange the homescreen and put the clock on bottom if you want is incredible new options (like the hd mini lock screen built in). maybe you could make cookie faster if you cooked it in dibbs? oh, and the sprint signal could have 7 bars, but that is just getting ridiculous picky! Best ROM ever!

Re: <> 4-11-2010 <}{> Medium Hill ROM's <}{> Sense 2.5 <>

believe it or not, i installed the new 1.7 on my phone tonight. pretty slick with some of the newer options. after messing with it for awhile, i noticed that the slow down is caused by the multiple quicklink/app pages. if you set it to just one page of links/apps like it is on stock then the slow down isn't there. so i'm not sure if cooking it in would really help. Oh, and i never run my phone with the home page weather animations on as well, I just find it annoying.

Re: <> 4-11-2010 <}{> Medium Hill ROM's <}{> Sense 2.5 <>

I LOVE this ROM! The graphics are appealing, notifications dialogs are excellent, updater is very useful, and speed is terrific.

But mine keeps locking-up 1-2x/day. I'm not installing anything that I don't normally install so I'm not sure why this is happening. When it locks-up, the screen freezes in whatever app I was running at the time of lock-up, and my TP2 won't respond to screen/button taps. The only way out is a soft reset using the stylus in the reset port.

I disabled touchflo and am running titanium to see if that makes a difference. Hasn't locked-up since but it's only been half a day.

I thought about performing a hard reset to start-over again, but I'd hate to have to setup everything again just to have more lockups. Any recommendations???

There was a thread around here, I thought it was a stickie but I couldn't find it (didn't look too hard) that describes problems like this. It said something about flashing back to the stock rom and doing some other things to make sure you get a stable flash. Anyone remember that thread?

Lovin this ROM with cookie. It can hide your quicklinks and they are still a flip away. What else does my home screen need?

I recommend using Task29 before you flash. What is Task29 you ask?

@geekdaddy, it definitely sounds like something is going on, I haven't had any lockups on my end. I would use the above software before you flash if your experiencing some randomness like you are.

and since we're posting screens, here is what mine looks like, and yes it's a corkboard background.

Forget the flash to stock stuff, just turn off your phone - hold the bottom volume key and then the power button until it goes into bootloader mode - then connect to your computer - flash - exit autobooter program - clear storage (hard reset) and on you go. I have found loading roms in bootloader works the best. I have never flashed back to stock ever.
