Re: <> 4-18-2010 <}{> Medium Hill ROM's <}{> Sense 2.5 <>
Dibbs,
So far so good on the Verizon test rom. I haven't had any issues with the phone canvas. Tomorrow I will install my usual cabs to see if anything changes. I did notice these issues with the test rom. 1) The "My Location" in the new version of google maps is not working. Note: "My Location" worked on the 23559 rom when installing google maps 4.1 over the older version. 2) HTC Messaging does not record/show outgoing sent messages. Windows Messaging records and shows sent messages. Last edited by cls_; 04-24-2010 at 06:28 AM. |

Dibbs,
Could just be me, but two flashes and I am still missing the dial pad on the VZW test ROM. Tapping the input icon at the bottom doesn't work for me. I can only dial out through saved contacts. 'Task29'ed with no cab installs. |

All I can say is holy cow this is a great ROM. I swear every time you have a beta or test ROM they turn out so great. I love the fact it locks when you kill the backlight like the HD2 does. I did experience the same problem as cls_ with my location but I turned off my location. The button only works when you get an actual GPS lock. HTC messaging works for me (in/out) if you're talking about the tab while in the contact. I also found that the phone gets pissed if you are using the document tab and try to double tap a PDF and don't have Adobe Reader installed. Totally forgot to install that first. I never really used that tab before but I've been doing final stuff on an MPLS network so I am getting documents like whoa so I am giving the tab a run. Like my first line Dibbs, this thing is GREAT so far. |

Try reflashing and loading the CAB on first boot through UC. That is the same provisioning CAB for Sprint that I've always used/included in the ROMs before that have always worked. Not sure why you would have trouble with it.

Notes on the new Verizon test rom (clean install without any cabs installed)
Dialer Pad Missing: I had the same problem with the dialer pad initial not showing up when I first installed. After a power off and on it was working and I thought it was a fluke. Now that I read your post I checked again and the dialer pad is not working again. I just restarted the phone, and the dialer pad is working again. Lock Screen: I am also loving that it auto-magically locks now. "My Location" Google Maps: To clarify, GPS does work in the new version of google maps. Just not the AGPS "My Location" feature. Its interesting to note, that it worked before when installing it over the older version of google maps. HTC Messaging Sent items: Messages sent using the HTC Messaging interface do not show up. I sent messages yesterday through HTC Messaging and the never showed up (Checked in Windows Messaging/Arcsoft and they are not in their either) When sending messages through Windows Messaging/Arcsoft the show up in the thread messages Inbox, and in the sent items folder. Also messages sent in the Windows Messaging/Arcsoft show up in the HTC Messaging as well. I do not think it is a lag issue with HTC Messaging since it is been a day and they have yet to appear. Other than that, ROM is very good. |

Well, after receiving a few phone calls, the dial pad now appears. Will keep a close eye on it to see what installs may or may not affect whether it disappears again. Hopefully it was a fluke and I can continue to enjoy this ROM!
