Winrar doesn't work the same way as WinCECab Mgr does, so it won't work for creating cab files for our WM6.5 phones.

Man, I haven't had time to check out the new phone stuff in a while. I should play around with 2012 - I've been using Sense 2.1 for stability for the last month or so, on good 'ol reliable 28011. What's the newest 'stable' SYS? I want threaded email for my gmail account
I was looking around and I saw an EXT for the threaded email tmail.exe, but I don't know where it is anymore. If i can find that again, I'd probably stick with 28011.
Yeah dude, 2.5.2012 rocks hardcore. Full landscape and fast!

Re: [DISCONTINUED]01-13[KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23518-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

Lat,
Thanks for WinCECab Mgr info. Think I'll just get out old XP lappie and use for phone stuff.

Sense 2.5 has been very fast and stable. I 'am using 23518 and think Sharkie is on 28011. Next few days I will be trying 23540.

I thought all newer build had threaded email. Being a noob I could be wrong.

If you need any help just ask always glad to help.

hey guys,

as far as personalizer goes, I have never had any issues cooking it in, all it is a set of mortscripts to set the name and another one to apply it every startup, just use the OEM you attached but convert it to EXT with ext_package_rebuilder in tools. Mortscript is already in my kitchen but if you have removed it just cook it in same way as personalizer. let me know if you need help. I have been working on TP2 a lot, STILL havent released anything yet but I think I am getting close

side not, my job may make me give up WM and get a blackberry I hope this does not happen... if I have to give it up I would rather go android at least lol

edit: I was also able to run wincecab mgr on vista x64 and win7 x64 with no issues that I recall, now I am back on win7 x86 though. there is a free utility to make cabs made by MS, forgot the name though. something obvious I am sure. cabmake.exe or something haha..

edit 2: turns out it is makecab.exe after all... attached

Nope, just a company phone. I just got transferred to corporate IT for my company, they do things differently and I doubt they will let us pick our own devices...

Sharkie,

Need a favor. Could you post one of your 4bfcbbee cabs? I can't figure out how to make a cab. I think if I had example could figure it out.

Also been trying to port 23541. Now i appreciate even more what RZ did for us.

Thanks,
Brad

Re: [DISCONTINUED]01-13[KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23518-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

Here's one... There are 4 files in the cab. I was trying to fix the top and bottom black lines in portrait mode so I edited all the bg files. Clearly, there's more to it than that as it didn't work.

I'd like to learn to port new builds too. Hopefully you'll be able to help me out at some point.

Thanks Sharkie

Hopefully RZ will help us both learn how to port new builds. Doing alot of reading. Just some tools not working way I thought they would. I have three copys of kitchen (original, 2.5.2012 & test) that way if I goof it's easy to fix.

If you haven't checked out Opera 10 Beta 3, definitely do! It looks hotter, is much more user/finger friendly and is faster than 9.7. Thus far I'm not having any issues with it.

I have same problem with top & bottom black lines
Thanks again for cab, helped me learn. Found a program called QuickCab.
Writes a little different setup.xml than what yours was, but still works.

Have you tried the Topaz S2 Vidieo Drivers yet?

Will have to check out Opera 10.

Thanks,
Brad
