This thread died quick! Anyway, I believe that I've come across the answer to one of my issues with the Manila version of the 23069 ROM. I wanted HTC Menus throughout. I came across a note I had jotted down. I don't remember where I got it, so sorry for not being able to give credit where credit is due. I've tested it out on MurdaROM, but not RZ ROM.

HKLM\System\GWE\Menu--CUI Handler: Change REG_DWORD to 1 for HTC Menus or 0 for Windows Menus.

Someone running RZ's 23069 Manila ROM test it out and let me know...

bugfix bugfix manila uploading now!

fixes:

wallpaper/ringtone bug
removes showcase, replaces with working htc task manager (kinda tricky to get to the quick menu: tap clock, then tap and hold clock for like a second, then release. htc task manager will show.

Welcome back! This does mean that we will have to go into Task Manager to close programs unless we install Showcase ourselves or use something like Raph Keyboard Configurator right?

that is correct 6.5.1 cannot close programs with the X button yet. it is more convenient to use showcase, but I don't approve of the bugs and instability it brings with it. maybe taskfacade would be cool... btw geolocation with the weather in TF3d works perfectly with gps or towers, but not around airaves. it will be inaccurate with an airave (mine at least).

oh yeah. the weather thing is cool but I am sick of manila lol. I'm cooking up a new titanium without showcase and with the tachi dialer and will release that as well after I've run it for a while

Does anyone have a mental list of exactly what bugs and/or instability Showcase causes? I didn't really seem to have many of the bugs I've seen mentioned...

Is the wallpaper bug you refer to the manila postition fix issue?

all I can say is it causes random freezes where the system will go out to lunch and be unresponsive for like 5 second intervals, seems to happen more when scrolling madly through emails or even titanium (!). unacceptable. someone will make the htc task manager work fully with 6.5.1, I have full faith in the individuals of xda and this site. and that will rock.

here is what I do following first boot. scroll to weather, accept the google agreements and let it sit there, it just works after that. this is inside a meat cutting facility where no gps can penetrate, so it is definitely using radio towers. much better than titaniumweater (though I have not messed with integrating gpsweather into TW). but thats not enough to keep me on manila. also in manila on the WM lock screen it does not show notifications (missed calls, emails, etc)
