Re: [Always Updating][KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23509/28004-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

Raid, i can agree, after disabling all unecessary Services and Startup items, this ROM kicks major a** as far as speed and stabiltiy. Manila 2.5 has been running for 30+ hours so far without a hickup ! Also love the custom start menu icons. All i added was badger slider icons ,Swype w/VGA fix, Clean Ram and edited the registry for internet speed (MaxConnectionsPerServer 16)(MaxConnectionsPer0_1Server 32) . Any idea if you can get the new HomeLock screen to work with 28014 ?

Thanks, mind sharing what you disabled? And also that reg tweak sounds like it belongs in the kitchen I will see what I can do about the homelock, I have been focusing on 2.1 lately but I will look into it. I may be getting a TP2 tomorrow! So today I have been working on making the kitchen accomodate both devices.

That's awesome news! I may go ahead and get a TP2 then if you've got a kitchen for it. Is making the kitchen compatible w/both devices going well?

lol. Wow that's dedication! thanks! It is not a surefire thing, my Sprint rep said he needs to pull a few strings but if it works I should have one here tomorrow. I will be working on the kitchen over the weekend, right now it is basically just the USC test rom in the kitchen, no tweaking has been done. I do have another tp2 kitchen though in the tp2 thread, but it doesn't have manila in it. I always start with just titanium since that's what I use.

But when I switch to VZW I will then have two TP2's (non-active sprint one and an active VZW one) then development will really speed up, as its MUCH easier to run a nightly kitchen release system with a device that can constantly be flashing. So don't expect too much from me on the tp2 front for a while, though I will do what I can.

To answer your question, yes the kitchen is done, it just needs a separate rom, ext, sys, and oem folder for each device. not ideal, but it works. I do not know how make it like VK where it can share components between devices... you'll see it tonight. last night there was no kitchen because my router decided to stop giving out IP addresses overnight..

Yes of course. I added that reg to my kitchen and I also do not use BT or myphone. How did you go about disabling them (curious) I mean you probably could have just deleted all the bluetooth stuff from the SYS and not cooked in myphone, but I am just curious how you did it. The less your phone has to do, the more stable it will be, the faster it will be, the better the battery life will be.

that task manager (dotfreds - which does the same thing if it isnt the same thing) is already in my kitchen. did not realize it could disable services (i only use to check the size of my gwes.exe every so often and make sure it hasnt inflated to like 35 megs.. lol I think 25mb is about as high as I am happy with letting it get). that rocks. thanks!

edit: I finally got my upload routine to exclude nbh files

figured now that there are two nbh's in RUU (RAPHIMG.nbh and RHODIMG.nbh) it was time to really investigate that

Re: [Always Updating][KITCHEN]6.5 NK-23509/28004-TF2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi]

Great work on the ROM!

Wondering though if anyone is getting graphic issues with the phone when setting their alarm on a TP. the graphics streak when i use my thumb to move the numbers and it stays like that.

Also i am wondering if anyone is have issues running active sync in vista. I was using Mighty Rom Final before this and never had any issues. I plug the TP in. It installs microsoft windows mobile remote adapter #2. Thats it.

Does not show on the windows mobile device center.

I dont know of any other way of re flashing the phone unless its connected through active sync? Suggestions?

Thanks in Advance.

B.
