How To unlock and flash with Video Walk Through!

only issue/question i am getting my phone off of ebay it says 2 months used, but when i activate the phone on my acct does my 1 yr start from there?

and i think i will use juicy8/mightyrom, any preference(batt life etc)?

and also i will play aroudn with the radios and see which ones give me best reception..( if any one you have used that can recommend would be appreciated)


Also i know i can use a java emulator for google .jar file and use that for gmail, but is there a better app for email than you can recommend that is ~$10 or free?

not sure about that one. i think the warranty starts 1 year from when it is first activated. there's tons of info and threads related to this in the touch pro forum, and else where.

i prefer mightyroms. you'll have to try them out for yourself to see which you like best. it only takes a few minutes to flash a rom, so it's easy to switch around and try different ones out.

again...radios work differently for everyone, so you'll have to try them out to see which one gives you the best results.

what's wrong with using the email program that comes on the phone? i see it mentioned all over the place, that people use it for their gmail.

Hey guys im having some problems... I tried using .37on my uscellular touch pro, and well, even though active sync said they were connected, it still wouldnt work. It said the connection between the pc and my device failed. Any suggestions? i really need some help here.

try this...click start-settings-connections-usb to pc, then uncheck the box under Activesync. then try the unlocking again

i posted in another forum but didnt get a answer.maybe you would know razor. the silence rom's dont have a precompiled one like mightyrom/juicy etc.

and this

is one of those the newest silence rom?

Hey, I need help flashing or whatnot lol i downloaded the herman.exe but clearly the pro's don't run exe files, so please somebody step me through the entire thing from downloading the right file to the final installation b/c im so lost lol, you can email me at sethkellough@yahoo.com, thankyou so much

establish activesync connection with phone and computer, then open the exe on your computer and the flashing will begin.

your phone has to be unlocked for that to take place, though. if you haven't unlocked yet, then follow instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503

how do you put it back to original I have the HTC touch Pro i think that I might have messed up something cause my phone only does half of what I want it to do it doesn't ring I have to litteraly watch it so i can answer when some one is calling me the screen rotates with out even sliding the keyboard out and the screen even changes as if I slid it out the only mods I did were the notification message and change the clock to crystal, speed hack and unlocked it noting else has been done. if you have ran into this issue all help is appreciated but not required but I would like to know how to set it back to original and maybe start back over.

sounds like you just have to do a hard reset. that will erase everything and return it to stock. click start-settings-system-clear storage. make sure you have your stuff backed up that you want to keep.

if you still just want to flash the stock rom, download it here. make sure you download the updated SHIPPED rom. then establish activesync connection with phone and computer using usb cable, then open the download.
