MightyRom 4 comes with it's own ruu, so you don't need to move any files. Just establish activesync with computer and run the custum_ruu.exe and the flashing process will begin.

custom roms do not come as a cab file. themes usually come as cab files, so that's probably all you changed.

you have to use the cmonex unlocker to unlock your phone before you flash a custom rom on your phone, or else it just wont work.

I don't know where the custom ruu.exe is? Is it in one of the files from the download? I downloaded the mighty4 rar file to my desktop, right clicked on it and it says open with (winzip or winrar) I opened with winrar. Never mind. I just figured it out. I downloaded the OEM version. I don't know what that is but I couldn't do anything with it. Thanks as always razorloves, you're a huge help.

my bad...i gave you the wrong file name. it's the ROMUpdateUtility.exe file. He used to use custom_ruu.exe, but not anymore.

I just went to the mightyrom 4 thread and his rom comes as an exe. So, all you have to do is connect phone to computer and establish activesync, then open the exe file and the flashing process will begin.

Hey where do i go to see the videos so i can flash my verizon diamond? I dont see them anywhere

i ran the might Rom app and when it started to go through the process where it shows the progress bar screen my phone reboots and this error message came up on the ruu screen. ERROR 244 invaled model ID? then it says the update utility cannot be used for your pda please check update utility. help?

invalid model id most likely means that you attempted to flash the touch pro mightyrom, instead of the diamond mightyrom. so, go to the diamond section of this forum and download the right one.

What does flashing the phone mean and whats the purpose of such method?

My touch pro is now stuck on the "please wait, phone starting up" screen.

I first did the Hard SPL, and it appeared to be successful (it reads with the right 0.35.CMONEX in the bootlogger)

Then I Did the "electonicrice" kitchen pack 1.1
I used Build pack 23016.

I was able to go through all the steps (selecting options in kitchen, pressing play to build the rom, the phone went into bootlogger mode and it had a status bar that showed it was loading the new rom image on the phone. Afterwards, the utility said it was successful and the phone rebooted itself; and that's where I am stuck.

If I soft reset the phone, it hangs on the verizon splash screen.

I've tried to hard reset, but it doesn't seem to be willing to do it. I can get the phone back into bootlogger mode, and can reinstall a rom from the kitchen, but that gets me right back to being stuck at the splash screen...

On the splash screen it says the following:

ps20 D 1.03


So, if anyone can help me out, I'd love it. I have a brand new Verizon Touch Pro that I'm trying to get started with a nice ROM from the get go, and things are off to a rocky start.
