Re: |H|ROM|6.5.3|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (28014/21885) |Dec 21| Sense 2.1 and 2

Just now flashing to "EnergyROM_28011_HERMAN_24.Dec.2009_Standard.rar" and I found that I cannot flash to it at all via MicroUSB, but I am able to flash to it using the Windows installer.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.3|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (28014/21885) |Dec 21| Sense 2.1 and 2

Dec 21st Rom running well with no battery issues.
No battery tweaks necessary.

DO NOT INSTALL OLD CAB: "Maxx134_BatterySaving_ReducePollingIntervals. cab" ;
It will prevent weather update occasionally, especially after running twitter shortcut on internet tab.

Also, If you install Lumos, keep an eye on it to see if you experience battery drain like I did on older rom.
I assume it was conflict with built in brightness program.

Rom is running nice and cool so dont want to test further till I get home.

Edit1: on this version I disabled HTC messaging for default messaging and arcsoft mms, so I can't comment how HTC messaging is working.

Edit2:
Check this link for DUAL CLOCK on Energy Sense2.1 :

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.3|WWE| * EnergyROM 'Phoenix 2' (28014/21885) |Dec 21| Sense 2.1 and 2

After successfully flashing to "EnergyROM_28011_HERMAN_24.Dec.2009_Standard.rar" via the Windows installer, I performed a Hard Reset manually, just in case. Then I did a soft reset, just to see if the Opera issue would occur again. After that, I kicked off my usual Sashimi Auto-install process. Once the installs were finished, Sashimi kicked off its usual soft reset. When the device came back up, it had HARD RESET. Basically all the installs Sashimi had performed were gone and things were back to just the ROM clean device.

There's a few too many bugs for me to battle in this one. I'm going to drop back 10 yards, punt and go back to the 12/21 ROM.

But overall EnergyROMs are the best I've ever used, which is why I stick with them .

is there a way to install the theme packs without completely reinstalling the operating system?

aren't these themes avaliable in a cab or something?

Maxmanila and Dusk themes are available as cabs....BUT by being cooked in they take up less space than a cab install.

If you want to run just the cabs on standard m2.5 ROMs (no Max or Dusk themes cooked in) just got to XDA and check out Maxy(MaxManila) and gregorz(Dusk). They each have a special thread for their themes. ALSO they both just released some new issues for the newer manila2.5 packages that ARE DA BOMB! I imagine they will be cooked in as soon as NRG and the other Chefs go through the packages and play around a bit.

I DL'ed MaxManila 2.7 beta and it is a vast improvement over the already stellar 2.6.... Just google MaxManila 2.7 and Dusk 2.5 and you are set. I rec the theme threads to everyone using a themed ROm or the cabs so they can get the full low down from the source and the chefs don't have to take time to explain how to use the themes' features.

I am currently running the new MaxManila on ahuskins latest standard release, with cmylxgo's xmas theme for maxmanila and it is FAST! Getting ready to test it out on lateset NRG 28011m2.5 standard and see how the performance is.......so many ROMs so little time..........

I would bet you hwould have to recheck your Sashimi files to make shure there are no conflicting files, like manila/sense files.

Check this link..DUAL CLOCK FOR SENSE 2.1 Woohoo :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=596903

I am pretty convinced now that 2.1 Sense is the way to go for the TouchPro since most works without slowdowns.

As for the Opera issue, it is only looking for a non existant file, so just have to exit out after a soft reset.
I dunno why Opera would startup... Something is making it do so and look for it.

I don't have any sense files in Sashimi and the only thing I have relating to Manila is a registry setting file for setting the tab configuration. It is the same Sashimi setup I've used for the 12/21 21885 build without any problems.

Waiting for a 21xxx that has same/better battery life than 28011.
