I wonder what the problem could be? I've never had this problem before. I'm tethered with my Touch Pro for my Internet connection. I'll try rebooting both my laptop and Touch Pro to see if that fixes it.

UPDATE: I think Sprint must be blocking some download sites. When I used HideMyAss.com to go to Hot File and can download the ROMs without a problem. Just passing along the information. Hope it helps.

I think the clock flip fix (manilafix.cab) just broke the data connection on my phone. ActiveSync reports the last sync and attempt at 9:40am, which is when I installed that cab. Weather update, and all other data does not work, either. Phone works. I have uninstalled the cab and soft reset but still nothing!!

EDIT: Did some fooling around. Turned data off, back on, etc. I have the fix installed with data seemingly working. It's hard to tell after a soft reset because the phone runs SO SLOW for like 10 minutes.

Can anyone tell me what's up with the 21885 roms not having any type of volume control? the 28011 do, but I prefer the 21xxx builds. Am I missing something on my roms? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Max Manilla looks great too btw!

Having the same problem.

Seems like the volume hard keys are swiping the clock on the home screen. Trying different things...

The volume control works fine now but there is now the stock white icon for the volume in the taskbar.

SMS Problem:

I can't get arcsoft installed correctly.. could someone who's gotten it to work help?..

I have dec 24 2.1.

My procedure:

disable sense
install picmail remove
soft reset
install JD arcsoft
soft reset
enable sense

slide over to messages tab and click on sms... maila messaging loads; not arcsoft threaded.

I think this is how I used to do it and it worked.. any suggestions? Thanks!

Volume Fix:

Navigate to your windows folder.
I first backed up my original HTCVolumeControl.dll

Replace it with the dll I have attached below. Soft reset. Hard keys work fine for me, icon is the normal EnergyROM volume icons. =D>

Manila Locker MOD not working...I tried disabling Sense 2.1 then installing and soft resetting but it doesn't lock. The configuration isn't there in Settings -> Personal and the ManilaFull.xml is not in the Windows directory to delete. And why do I have to wait like 10 minutes after a soft reset before the phone is fully responsive???

He has a few mods for Sense 2.1 include a Background 4 All tab
kimi_sae_ireba_sense2.1_BGMod.cab and a cab to correct weather animation after BGMod cab is installed.

The Email tab cab that was ported from Sense 2.5 is pretty cool too. I already tired that.

I am running EnergyROM_21885_HERMAN_24.Dec.2009_Standard at the moment. Wish I could find the white flip clock for this ROM though. It will come around soon enough. Lets read the forum and see what else we can find for our addiction.
