I use Hex Workshop. I open the .nbh and do a search for "hex value" 'a0030616' When it finds this, the 4 hex digits before this string will be '0315'. the first two digits of that '03' is multiplied by 4 to get the Pagepool. So change to '00' for 0MB PP. Change to '08' for 32MB PP. Good luck.
PS - Its HEX digits so for 48MB PP you would use '0C'....etc....

If his HLR tables are messed up then how is he able to authenticate on Sprints own network? Refreshing the VLR still seems more likely and is less of a hassle to do than an HLR reload. The VLR may be temporary, but it is not like it updates daily (or even weekly). Granted, if refreshing the VLR doesn't fix it then an HLR reload may be prudent. If you wanna crack a nut, you don't start with the sledgehammer (unless that is ALL you want to do with the nut of course hehehe). It still seems odd to me that he is getting an "authentication" error with VZW. Even if the VLR/HLR is screwed, VZW shouldn't be "trying" to authenticate the phone since it isn't even on it's switch. I would sooner expect a regular routing issue/message like "...unable to complete your call..." or a fast busy signal. Please let us know what you find out.

I can get around this in 2.5, as you said, by knocking out HTC messaging - but overall, I'd rather use the default VM.

I'm going to give it another whirl, maybe *38 will make nice with me...I definitely appreciate the feedback/information.

Thank you thank you.
Here's a breakdown of all of the forwarding codes. I had to do a *720 to get my Sprint VM working again. I'm hoping there weren't any .20 charges. Would be nice if Sprint just eliminated all of the charges for this like other carriers.

Busy - *73 (xxx) xxx-xxxx – Deactivate *730
No Answer - *74 (xxx) xxx-xxxxx – Deactivate *740
Busy/No Answer - *28 (xxx) xxx-xxxx – Deactivate *38

Immediate Call forwarding – 0.20/minute
*72 (xxx) xxx-xxxx
*720 deactivate

THANKS! So you use this tool instead of PagePool_Changer.exe since PPC may not always work on certain ROMs?

...yea, I did "*38" first and it wasn't working, so I contacted Sprint - which is never fun. They had me do a *720, and that didn't do it either. I was hoping they could do a little dance on their end and just manually reset my configuration, but I guess not? I didn't press it because I figured I'd need to be on a stock ROM for them to do anything over the air [this may have been a noob assumption on my part].

Definitely appreciate all of the information, dudes! Have a round of thanks on me.

Exactly. And I get the feeling that some people still try to use the Pagepool_changer.exe to change the PP of NRG roms. It wont work and most likely is the cause of some of the 'bugs' that people see since obviously changing a couple of hex characters of ANY file can have a tremendous effect.

so....i'm guessing that nobody has an answer to the question i've asked a couple times, regarding the fact that when i delete messages, it goes to a deleted items folder, rather than just immediately chucking them (which is what i want).

anyone know where that setting is? the immediately erase completely setting?

I've never looked into this, so I didn't respond. ...the answer is, they will delete when you sync the email account. ...or they should.

Example in my Test: I sync with Outlook. I open Outlook on my phone and delete a message...it does go to the Deleted Items folder and sits there. If I sync my phone with my PC Outlook again, it removes the email on the PC-side and then clears the deleted items folder on my device.

Lemme know if that helps you out or if they're literally stacking up in the deleted items folder even though you've synced the account.

...also, what type of account, and which ROM version?

EDIT: OK, Gmail and Outlook seem to work fine, but the deleted folder in Hotmail wasn't syncing up. If I delete a Hotmail email from my device it goes into the Deleted Folder and sits. On the PC-side, the email is removed from the Inbox. ...but even if I clear out my Deleted Items on the PC side for Hotmail, the emails remain on my device in the Deleted Folder. So...to fix:

Go to your Inbox. Press "Menu". Scroll down to "Tools". Select "Options". Click over to the "Storage Tab" and change the option for "Empty Deleted Items", which by default should be on connect/disconnect. If the sync isn't working, change this setting to "Immediately" and they will go bye bye.

Let me know if none of that works.
