Mornin Dudes.......

Just an update on my BSOD experiance. Got all day to mess with this issue if need be....Ok I said I was going to flash 21869...still plan on it as soon as I get the BSOD again, BUT I have not had it happen again for about 12 hours now... prob a goocher to mention that....Anyways I am not running S2U2 and I am runnin on a full sashimi as if it were ready for my regular daily use. I have not set the device to manually sleep, am not running Lumos, am running full blast backlight(I roll fast and out of control) SO I am riding the storm out.....IMO other than BSOD this drop is HOT! Just waitin for it to attack again.

Time for another .....

JK. . You are on the 28002Nov21 build......yes? Since the ROM was released on the 21st this issue has been discussed more than anything else, if you want full details just read back a few days worth of posts for everyone elses experiances...BUT I will say patches, work arounds, and other attempts at remedy are still being tested and vary greatly...you will find what is working for some in the past few pages as well. I posted my BSOD update this morning. Wish there was an easy fix, but not yet. You can flash the 21869 and not have the issue if it bad enough you can't get anything done. Good Luck.

I still had a problem with SMS after running the patch, I could get messages but they would have -GSM afterwards and I couldn't send txt at all. I uninstalled SPBmobileshell 3.5 and it works again... Don't know if anyone else is having this exact issue.

I have a feeling it is more to do with it turning off the display for you. It seems when I turn off the screen myself it is okay, but if it does it by itself, that's when this seems to happen (sometimes). Whatever it is though, it is almost a deal breaker for me, as I haven't had to soft reset my phone this many times in a while.

Also, I tested youtube app and it doesn't work for me on 28002, but I can't remember the last time I looked at youtube on my phone. Just wanted to point it out for the people who were wondering.

Gizelle: I am on Windows 7, and in order for me to move the PhoneSetting.dll I had to unhide "Protected Operating System Files" on my machine. If I didn't do this, the dll would not move to my phone.

BLACK SCREEN - This happened to me first on another ROM, so my guess is that it's specific to the build [28xxx], not specific to the ROM...but I've been on 21864 [not 9] and the problem "followed" me.

I have not noticed a trend with this issue other than waking up every morning for the past week with my phone locked up. This problem surfaced along with an awesome "freeze up while trying to use the device to do anything" issue, so I started to think it was related to processing power - as though there was a slow drain while the device was in "sleep" that would eventually cause a lock up.

Soft resets seem to bring things back to normal.

I'm about to flash the 21869 build to see how to holds up. I *think* you need to use the device for a day to really get an impression of whether or not you've "fixed" the blank screen...my device will usually work all day and then fail over night...which, based on how I use my device, might lean me towards thinking it's a back light issue?

Just my experience...still playing with it.

What build are you on currently? I am on 28002, previously on 23088, and 23504 before that, all Sense2.5 editions and never have had an issue with texting. EXCEPT in titanium... texts would not leave my outbox while I was in Titanium (ms texting) and would not send until I went back to Sense and went into MS messafing and then they would send. Are you by chance using Titanium ore often?

SPBmobile shell doesn't play nice with manila2.5.....or other things for that matter. It is discussed somewhere in here..........

The GSM on your text is nothing really. It has to do with manila2.5 as well. I am not running any text patches and use manila texting (I like it, I am crazy I guess) without issue and I still get GSM after every text received, and CDMA is on every text I send in my threaded view, but those receiving my txts do not get that CDMA. This was big talk back around the initial drop of manila 2.5.

OOOOH you said "blank screen" and not BSOD as winmo calls it. He is going to get you.

I do agree and think it is a backlight issue and I didn't manually turn my screen off or let it do it automatically and my BSOD (Black Screen Of Doom) stopped. I'm thinking and I may be wrong but there could be a module or a file missing that is associated with the turn off of the screen that is causing this. Just my guess!!

Three - I'm on 28002 and have disabled the Auto turn off my device. Thought I had it licked (BSOD) till I woke up this morning. I may be wrong and NRG do chime in here, but I believe this is related to either the native kernel NOT being used or a module issue. Could be wrong, it's all over Da_G's thread on xda.

Reading over there, it just seemed that most if not all of the folks having issues weren't using a Native Kernel.

The Raphing_nbh file is not recognized by this device and the RUU file does nothing. I am not completelly new to flashing i have been flashing Juicy Psyki, emprirom, and SsS. This is my firsttime try to flash with Nrgz rom. I do have admin access to my computer and to double check i flash to SsS rom in between trying to flash NRGZ rom. I downloaded two separate builds from his site and neither work for me. I will try to try it from a different pc altogether and report back.
