set it in the actual contact information screen, not in the TF3D Contact Screen


ex: go into All Contacts, pick the contact there, and edit their pic

I haven't been using custom manila since I assume it's completely different. I've knocked out all cities and have only MyLocation set to do it's jobby job and I've had good results.

I'm mostly convinced that MyLocation is pulling some sort of tower information and that's why everyone gets a different bag. I also notice that as it triangulates, the information changes depending on which towers it picks up. So at my office it may say "Rosslyn [VA...just over the river]" "Washington [DC]" or "West Over Place". It's all accurate within reason.

Eat it up.

The world clock is off by 5 hours. MyLocation would not consistenly find my hometown so I used WeatherDatabaseEditor to add my city. I now get weather updates regularly and was actually surprised that my city was now an option in the world clock database. However, it's off by 5 hours from the nearest city to me. Not a big deal...just selected the San Francisco on world clock instead.

I am in the bay area too, and I think I know what you're talking about with the time being off. After flashing to this latest rom, and after setting the time zone, the time was off. However, I don't know what I did, but the I think the cell towers auto corrected the time. Did you try syncing the time under the call options?

so we must do this everytime we flash a new rom in order to make the contacts clear when receiving a call? i use microsoft my phone to restore contacts and pictures are already there but just blurry when some one call.....

...two things to check. First, I assume your timezone is right in "Clocks and Alarms". Double check on that. Otherwise, when you edited your manila file, did you edit an existing city in your timezone, or did you create a fresh entry?

I may be fully off-base, but I think I've ran into issues with custom cities, if I created a new city entry instead of just customizing an existing city close to mine.

If it's working...rock! ...but those are the only other things I could think of.
