Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23071/21864) ** | Oct 22nd | Manila 2.1

I'm with Formula84, I haven't had any big issues with 23071. I installed TSowen blue taskbar icons since mine came up as the standard white ones after loading the ROM. I also was missing not having the task manager in the top right corner but then I found the Showcase link. A few things do seem slightly sluggish sometimes and the vertical slider that shows up in the dialer is a pain but I'm sure that those things can be fixed as we move forward. I use TouchFlo Detacher to switch between TF3D and SPB Pocket Plus and when I'm switched over to Pocket Plus the bottom bar is white with the two soft buttons on the left side. Again, a minor thing to me.

Just discovered a bigger problem. When I open WeatherPanel there is no way to close it and I must soft reset. I have tried the middle button on my Touch Pro along with the end hard key and the back arrow hard key. I have the back arrow setup to close any active open application through AE Button Plus and that still will not close it. If anyone has an idea how to close WeatherPanel using 23071 please let me know.

I am going to continue to run 23071 for a while. I really do like the bottom finger friendly buttons! Hopefully some of these minor issues will be resolved soon.

Below is the cab for the blue taskbar Icons and the sdkcerts cab. Install the sdkcerts cab first to main memory and then the tsowentaskbar cab to main memory. Then soft reset.

I liked the 23017 UI, but as NRG pointed out the build itself is still way to buggy for production.. Cant wait for a newer build to be released. So i am now on 21864 and loving no data issues fast and stable !

NRG you rock!

Just flashed 23071 and testing it out.
So far so good.
Hard to get used to the options on the bottom now. LOL

I like this rom features, but too many bug/annoyances (re-flash didn't fix them).

What other 6.5 rom is very comparable (built-in working AGPS in google maps, call recorder, wifi router... etc) to this rom?

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23071/21864) ** | Oct 22nd | Manila 2.1

Ran the 21864 NICE. Now running the 23071 NICER. I realy like the new builds. I like the bottom taskbar personally. I have only two issues so far to note and I flashed it this morning then again after about an hour of the fixed 21864 , so about 11 hrs ago and I have put it through the ringer so far. Here is what I have found with 23071... Total Comm & PocketRAR controls are wacked out. The controls in TC are working but you can't see them all unless you go into landscape. The controls in PR aren't working at all, can't get past the "Use this to associate with ZIP or RAR files". Surely due to the new bottom taskbar, and something I can work around and live with. The other thing is another no issue for me. When I installed a custom taskbar it messed up my softbar in the today screen only. SO when I turn off TF3D & Titanium and have just my general "today" screen up my bottom taskbar is white with the "action"&"contacts" crammed together on the far left and not even in buttons. However I can click on the area and the start menu will pop up so I can go and turn TF3D or titanium again. Again a no issue as I only use the Today screen so I can install goodies for Titanium or TF3D.

Guess what though familiar readers......my location still only works when I roam! Even after the GPS driver cab reccomended, enablemylocation cab, manually setting GPS, updateing quick GPS, enable AGPS, and all other jazz. Oh well I am lovin the new ROMs all the same.

Great Work NRGZ28!!! Thank You.
