It does look cool but most of us winmo users are trying to cover up the windows not glorify it.
It is more of a really neat novelty than really useful right now.It does work but it is slow compared to td3d.
Thanks for the link

The only problem is... yahoo doesnt allow forwarding unless you upgrade and pay... and aol doesnt even have forwarding as an option at all.

Has anyone tried KamilM CompactManila for pano with panoramic wallpapers?
It did make my manila compact but it also moved the slider one over from where it should be.

Gonna try the other versions and if that doesn't work I will look at the files themselves.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried it and what was your result.

Is anyone familiar with the program, smart Lyrics? I have trouble using it on this ROM. All I had to do is install .net v.3 but i can't install it. It gives me an error code. Does anyone know why?

Ignore me...I don't read so good. CompactManila is NOT CompactHomescreen at all.

Hello all -
Been catching up on the goings on over here on the NRG thread for the past 30 - 40 minutes. Pretty interesting and a bunch of new faces. Welcome to everyone.
I noticed some topics being discussed lately are battery life (again), tachi dialer issues, SIP xt9 problems and activesync.
Brief opinions on the above subjects...

Battery life - LUMOS!, polling and SuspendResume #777
Don't confuse data being CONNECTED with data being ACTIVE. There is a HUGE difference. The tweaks to DISCONNNECT your data connection almost ALWAYS have an adverse effect on the Tachi Dialer. The SuspendResume #777 registry will allow your data to go INACTIVE which means that your data connection can go INACTIVE to MAKE or RECEIVE calls then reactivate when needed.
Changing all of the settings in the weather tab probably did NOT fix your problem, what did fix it was changing from a 10 min disconnect to 2 min disconnect of data. If your SuspendResume was already #777 then it just INACTIVATED the data connection at 2 min.
Oh, and whoever was using that push mail program is most likely taking a hit to the battery. I did when I used it. Suprisingly, Google's new push mail seems to work pretty well and I haven't noticed much of a hit on battery life either.

Tachi Dialer issues are most likely being caused inadvertently by applying tweaks which modify SuspendResume in the registry. Caution: Removing the Tachi Dialer skin will disable correct function of the people tab.
Final word on this is #777 my friend.

xt9 issues if you can't get the abc to stick try changing to abc then typing some numbers then you can erase them. Should allow abc to stick. Another fix I have seen is to open the hardware keyboard and hit FN + spacebar.

I have seen the Activesync problem before and deleting my partnership on the PC and ensuring you have the correct identity in the phone BEFORE you establish a new connection will usually fix the issue. BTW I have never installed any drivers for my phone. I actually don't know that they exist.

I know Threefaces, Winmo and others piped in on these and just wanted to share what I've found.
I tried all that so ABC mode would stick in google maps, but it still doesn't. And google maps is the only program that's being a B**** about it. Dunno why, hopefully the next update would solve this.

Are you sure it's the t9 setting and not google maps offering suggestions as you type - like, this is how the program works instead of a glitch? I may be misunderstanding the problem you're having, but when I open the Search box in Google Maps and start typing [I'm in ABC mode], Google Maps shows me Predictive Text underneath the search box. Is this what you're seeing?

Any attempt to turn on t9 on the keyboard fails when I'm in Google Maps...because it seems there's a function already built into the program.

...let me test something else quick and I'll report back...I think I understand a little better the problem youre describing. [Testing and drinking coffee]

OK. I just went into Texts and started typing a message with t9 enabled on the physical keyboard. Everything is ok. Then I opened Google Maps and started to type in the search box. T9 was still enabled and actually worked...recommended words popped up above the keyboard...and Google Maps' own predictive text was displayed. While still in Google Maps, I changed T9 back to ABC...no problems. T9 wasn't on, but Google Mpas continued to provide predictive text.

In the past when T9 mode gets stuck, I try toggling it with the physical keyboard instead of the onscreen. Have you tried that? The more I play with it, the onscreen keyboard seems to be giving me some headaches switching between t9 and abc when in google maps, but toggling it with the physical keyboard clears up the issue.

Try that...unless you did, then I'm at a loss.

I think we're having the same problem. Just as you were saying, once you're in xt9 or abc mode to begin with, you will be stuck in that mode when using google maps. The problem I have is, I have xt9 on when I am typing txt or other things on the phone, so naturally XT9 is till on when I use google. The thing is........ google maps doesn't like it when xt9 is on. no matter what I type, there's no display of what I type. Any attempts to switch to ABC would then make all the letters I've typed show up then it'll switch back to xt9 by itself. Hopefully this clears up some confusions.
Thanks

Yea, I replicated the issue...open your physical keyboard and toggle t9 there [FN+ Spacebar]. It will pop up a display asking you to chose which mode you want "abc" t9 english" etc....chose ABC and it should be good. [I think ahuskins recommended this already] Try that.
