i would like to have data roaming enabled by default or at least an easy to find option to turn it on cuz what would happen if one day im out in the boonies and need googlemaps and no data cuz im roaming, i wouldnt quite be able to search the net how to turn it on manually now would i

that new 7/29 clear clock is sooo sexy, i really want to use the pimp package but fear i will loose the clock. c'mon guys who has this clock, been looking for it for a while i know one of u have it. please help a ppc addict out!! lol

HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\INITPROV\PHONESETTING

Make sure

ItemCount = 3

and

ItemName3 = Roam Only

If you look further down, the Roam Only option is there, but listed as ItemName5. For some reason there are only 3 in the dropdown so this will have to do for now.

Do a soft reset and go back to Phone > Services > Network Service > Get Settings and you can select Roam Only.

Note, this will force your connection to only roam and that means 1x on VZW and possibly Alltell. You may still be able to get EV on Alltell.

I think it's the build he used...i.e. Microsoft yanked it out. If you want it back, simply flash the 72809 back.

Don't forget to call yourself after flashing...as someone pointed out earlier, the first call after flashing takes a while. For me it was 5-6 rings before my phone showed a call......just JYI
