Are you sure that it's faster? I have tried both, but I haven't seen the differences here.

Hi, is this a known bug? I am using dec 17 21885 version.

I try to create an sms by going into HTC sense SMS tab, click the top right corner. Instead of showing me the contact list, it's blank and ask me to type in to search. No matter what I type in, only contact with email address input shows up...and only their email address is available.

I can only create an sms when I go into contact, and then click sms instead.

Yes its a bug. You can try this fix. I've used it a couple times and its never done anything maybe you will have better luck.

I'm also having this issue with the ROM version EnergyROM_21885_HERMAN_25.Dec.2009_StandardM2.5. My symptoms are a little different, though. I get the "- GSM" tag at the end of received messages, but when I try to send a text, it shows up as trying to go to the contact's phone number and doesn't send or show up in the list of messages in the Sense Messages tab.

I tried the above instructions, and the texts prior to the fixes seemed to go out eventually, albeit in a huge burst. Now, in order to send texts, I need to select "All Messages" from the Sense Messages tab to open a list of all the messages. I can read them in the tab, but can't send anything since HTC messaging is disabled.

Hope that sheds more light on this issue.

EDIT: Also, the volume buttons do the up/down selection thing and not the volume up/down. I'll try the workaround mentioned earlier.

the dec 25th rom had way way too many issues... i expected as much tho since NRG was uploading from a holiday inn... im sure he didn't spend too much time on it...

really wish others would make 21xxx builds though... starting to dislike those big ass buttons taking up

according to Maxxy (creator of MM)& NRGZ thats the difference and since they know a hell of alot more about all this then i do, i tend to believe they know what they are talking about

This is supposed to be the GSM fix for CDMA. I gave up on the Dec 25 build I couldn't get the SMS to work. If anyone on sprint can confirm that it works out of the box w/ HTC messaging I may be willing to try a flash dance.
