Hey guys,

I just installed Energy a few days ago and I am amazed by the rom, it's just awesome.

However, I've ran into a *small* problem that happened three times during a three day period.

The device erase itself. Shortcuts stop working and proceed on a fresh reconfiguration upon reboot. It's looks pretty much like an hard reset but buggy'er. The second time, during the reconfiguration, it crashed and I had to reboot the device again to get it working.

After the first two times I ran into the problem, I re-downloaded the version from hotfile and proceeded to reinstall it. Alas, it happened again.

Has anyone ran into this issue? Is there a known key shortcut (other than power, voldown, reset button) that would reset the device?

For the moment, I reverted to another rom and will see if it happens in the next few days.

The version I used was EnergyROM_21885_HERMAN_21.Dec.2009_Standard.rar.

did you flash directly, or did you flash dance. it happened to me once on an older NRG rom, but since than i always flash dance my phone, and i have never had a major problem right out the box...

Whats the difference between the cooked Max Manila 2.5 rom

and just adding the Max Manila mod to a 2.5 rom ?

Not sure what the difference is, but it works just fine. Just loaded the Dec25 28011 2.5 ROM and added the MaxManila 2.7 beta, works much better on the VGA devices than the previous version. Still can't go full screen or you lose the soft keys though.

read in a thread on here somewhere that installing after the fact... results in more space taken up on the device...

as phatcoupe said i believe a flashdance is in order,having done the dance before every flash i have never had that happen,and based on post it seems to affect those who don't or jump from rom to rom without doing it

SPEED!! do a test,see how fast manila is before you install over a standard rom,then test speeds with it installed,and if you use the cooked in versions of MM you won't see near as much lag,cooked in is faster compared to a .cab install
