Anyone....please? :)

You could try installing Nue's KBLIGHT app and see if that helps.

Thanks, please let me know what you get.

no issues for me--using 21042 cooked with SSK 1.6A. have you inadvertently changed registry settings for keyboard backlight?

It's not a matter of the light... I cannot type using my hardware kb. I just mentioned the fact that the light does come on for a few moments and goes back out ASAP, in case that helped anyone with troubleshooting. By the fact that the kb gets light, I have to assume that the kb does work. But I cannot type any characters with it...

as far as i know, the newest fix encompasses the 1b and 1c fixes as well so regardless of what version u have in the rom, i beleive the 1d fix will bring you up to speed.

im not 100 percent about that but im pretty sure. you might want to ask in the thread over a xda to be for sure

Thanks man. I just wanted to make sure because the update is only like 1.5 megs. But its only for upgrading from 1C to 1D. So I didnt want to have to all those separate install cabs which is like 40 megs or something. Wait, I read yourpost again. Thats not what I mean.

There is a separate update cab for the 1D version. But its ONLY if you have the 1C installed already. Thats why i wanted to know if Scott had implemented 1C in the kitchen

EDIT - Im just going to install all the cabs separately over whats on there. See what happens....

oh ok, sorry about the confusion, i dont think scott has updated the rhodium oem in the kitchens yet so its most likely not the 1c version

So I ran 6.5 all weekend, it is interesting, doesn't give as much info on the front page as TF3D 2 does, but still it is quick. Only issue I am having is sometimes when my contacts call it shows up as unknown caller, but other times it works just fine. Any ideas on this one?

Hi all, quick question. Been using SSK for about 5 months...Love it...In B2B when I would make a call, a slider would appear over the phone buttons so my cheek doesn't push buttons...In 1.6a with 21042 that is gone - or I cant fine it...I cooked my own ROM both times. Is that something built into a prog? I have S2u2 1.62. Is it a s2u2 feature?

Thanks again

I have never had any problems and now when I slide out my kb I get the backlight for a few seconds and it goes dim almost immediately, and I cannot type a single character using it. FYI, I did use the kitchen but used no different OEMs than I have in the past.

I immediately assumed it was hardware related but I never had one single issue prior to the flashing of the 21042 rom with the Rev A kitchen. To me that seems to be too much of a coincidence...

All is working good here so far after heavy txt'ing with the keyboard over lunch.
