I wholeheartedly agree. I'm not speaking of this particular instance, but your comment in general. Like, people complain about S2U2...and blame Scott's ROM....Why don't they just go to the S2U2 thread and learn about how to set it up.....solves 99% of problems (could go on, but 1 example is enough).

A users first option should be to search for the app....After learning about it, THEN ASK THE QUESTION.

However, in some instances where there are hundreds of results from a google search, it's nice to have someone (like you) point to the main thread.

With that all said, does anyone have a link to the battery monitor app:
Applications - Battery Monitor 1.30.0.0......I can't find a link to the thread

Also for SCOTT: I found a newer version of GOOGLE MAPS (from the Google Website) than you have listed. You list GPS Apps - Google Maps 3.0.0.2, I found Google Maps 3.0.0.12 and I am attaching the file. However, it could just be a typo on your part where you left out the "1".

For those interested, I also found (on the same site) a general GOOGLE Search app that lets you do a bunch of different GOOGLE stuff, like GMail.

The original version that we are all used to had no support but there was a stop gap put in its place (the one with all the launchers but no real Touch Flo feel) so the phones would still be "functional" in landscape when the keyboard was opened.

The HD manila that is in this build did not need the stop gap mentioned as it was launched on the Touch HD which did NOT have a physical keyboard so there was no rotating happening while still in TF3D to get to the keyboard like we on the touch pro do.

The latest version is for the the Touch Pro 2 which has landscape support has not been released officially yet. There are people in this forum as well as XDA who are working on proting it over to our phones but it is not an easy port. Just like the HD manila, it was made for a WVGA screen and we all have VGA so many images have to be fixed as well a positions needing to becorrect for the lack of screen real estate this version is used to.

I hope this helps with understanding the landscape issue.

great info, thanks.

Your carrier might be the problem. Which kitchen and system files did you use?

It sounds like either the download was corrupted somehow or he is using the sprint ROM for a VZW phone or vise versa.

Since Summer is rapidly approaching, you should have gotten her a bikini.

Re: Battery Monitor
I find that the new monitor is nice as a reference, but not useful for "continuous" monitoring of the battery since it has to be opened each time to get to the information, unless, you can figure out how to use the "Percentage Data" and import it to the "percent over battery" icon.

For continuous monitoring, I really like. batti 2.4. It's only drawback is that the developer has discontinued the project. However, the current version works beautifully and gives a visual indicataion of the voltate in a narrow bar across the top. You can set it to give an audio alert at whatever level you consider the point at which you want to charge.

I've included the file here for anyone who wants to try it.

For those looking for a theme for the version based on the Rhodium Manila from the TouchPro 2, check out this site, Post # 740. It's not released yet, but he hopes to release it by the end of the week.

That rom is meant to play with, its is full of known bugs. I would suggest picking another rom that is listed as stable. If you need help chosing, PM me.
