Also, the volume control......whats up with it? anyone having issues? it doesnt work on mine at all

You can do what you want, thats the purpose of beta testing, find bugs, give them to the man and let Scott work his magic. Its a good find. I just added in all that extra stuff so Scott didn't have to chase the issue further than necessary.

As far as volume control, mine works in every possible way I can think of to test it.

ok the volume is working now. However, when adding in the custom cities, if you try to scroll through them, it blanks out and takes you back to the top city choices.

I hope this isnt a dumb question, but what is the big deal about the HD manila? Is the only main difference the pictures on the tabs?

Howabout thanking Scott for including the Manila HD in the kitchen.

Instead of complaining about it, jump over to this thread and read up and learn about it...

Thanks froader for thinking of me ;c)

BUt yeah, I should have linked the HD thread... stupid me...

I guess I screwed up and assumed again.... I assumed that everyone knew what they were flashing. I have to remember that not everyone can read my mind like I can.

But yeah, its Manilla HD. Its not the same manilla you are used to. I think its alot nicer after using it for a few days.

Yes, its normal for the keyboard to open up when it loads. Dont close it!

You should try a hard reset for ****s and grins. That volume control issue is strange. Thats what prompts me to recomend a hard reset through the control panel - Clear Storage.

If you are VZW then you will need to reapply GPS Fix.

How about I DID thank scott, numerous times and how about realizing that he asked for us to report any and all bugs with this. How about that?

I have been using the compressed version of HD Manilla almost since the day it was released & it's awesome. It is MUCH faster & smoother than almost any normal version of TF3D & the features like the weather & stock tab are awesome.

I could care less about landscape support, IMHO that's useless anyway although some people seem to want it.

As far as I know there is only one version of TF that supports landscape and it hasn't been officially released yet.

The original version that we are all used to had no support but there was a stop gap put in its place (the one with all the launchers but no real Touch Flo feel) so the phones would still be "functional" in landscape when the keyboard was opened.

The HD manila that is in this build did not need the stop gap mentioned as it was launched on the Touch HD which did NOT have a physical keyboard so there was no rotating happening while still in TF3D to get to the keyboard like we on the touch pro do.

The latest version is for the the Touch Pro 2 which has landscape support has not been released officially yet. There are people in this forum as well as XDA who are working on proting it over to our phones but it is not an easy port. Just like the HD manila, it was made for a WVGA screen and we all have VGA so many images have to be fixed as well a positions needing to becorrect for the lack of screen real estate this version is used to.

I hope this helps with understanding the landscape issue.
