No, for the ROM's Bob. The kitchen will remain carrier selectable. The Bonus ROM's I make I want to start Carrier nuetral. I really want to try and change attitudes about Kitchens.

I want people to see the ROM as a platform for you to test the kitchen the way I want you to see it. Then its up to you to download the kitchen and make the ROM the way you want.

Right now the mentality is give us more ROM's. Shoot I am going to run out of ideas soon! Its time for everyone else to start spitting out ROM's. They need to download a kitchen and cook.

But I sincerley think I made my kitchen so user friendly its no harder than flashing a custom ROM. Just one extra step, selecting the OEM's you want in and pressing go. The kitchen even cleans itself and closes up when done. Thats the only extra step to cooking your own ROM vs flashing a ROM when you use my kitchen, just select some OEM's.

Thats easy!

Im rambling as I am splitting OEM's. Hope that made sense. I am dead tired.

Running windows messenger and exchange and nothing so far battery hanging there and well still got to let you know but nothing so far. I always turn off quickgps running on the back and some other stuff that i turn off to give me more and reverted back to windows default dialer with the htc volume fix. So all good and my pagepool is at 24 cus im weird but running 52 MB free. SO far soooo good. keep it up

Well I am glad you gave it some time and made it the way you wanted. Its a solid core IMHO and is worthy of a second look.

Right now I am mixing the 21018 XIP to increase speed and I am going to fix the little issues like the storage card and I am leaving the stock camera. I want to make it somewhat easy on me to maintain as well.

I agree. Your kitchen is so easy even i can do it. I think the only ROM I ever flashed was my first attempt at not using the stock version. After that, it's been SSK for me. I can't understand why more people don't use the kitchen.

What do you mean you're tired. What ever happened to the "NIGHTSTALKER" who'd keep me up till 4 AM waiting for him to upload a new kitchen?

Bob

I want to try the generic carrier OEM I got. If this works I wont have to make sep ROM's for each carrier. That is way cool.

Anyone down with helping me test this?

Since you said in a follow up post that the generic carrier is for ROMS, will the new "fixed" kitchen be stable?

Bob

He is planning on putting the Generic Carrier in his "bonus" ROM, which is basically him running through the buildOS and putting the RUU up for people to use without knowing how to cook... The way we all got started.

The generic carrier is in \OEM which is part of the kitchen not the ROM. If my understanding is incorrect please rectify.

I read it just the opposite. He said "The kitchen will remain carrier selectable"

We are probably both partially right, mostly wrong. I can't wait til Scott reads my plea for help on OEM creation.

Not much luck with 21018 and 21028. Will keep playing. realigned the kitchen and fixed the camera and storage card issues.

I have a cab to fix the storage card issue in post #4 if anyone wants to use it.

If you have the kitchen then you need to open the __scrosler folder and mod the RGU to this:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ SDMemory]
"Folder"="Storage Card"

Currently folder = "Internal Storage"
