One of the ways I got around picking the location of the install was to create a corresponding script file for each cab. For example

GSFinder.PPC.cab
GSFinder.PPC.auto

The auto file contains the parms to pick the location of the install. All these files go into SASHIMI\Auto\CAB not the SD folder. The only thing I am still working on is clicking the OK button after an install. Stick quicker than all those taps.

Since I seem to reload about 4 times a week, more automation is in my future

Nice!

I really like 21198 alot but not really a fan of tp2. I used it on the original release and was kinda disappointed. Everything I am reading though says it has grown by light years (up to rev D now?).

I am going to try the other ROM we spoke about and see how it works but I am going to flash my radio to the US Cell 1.07 and see what that is about.

OLDMAN, Have you seen this radio listed? if so, have you tested it yet? would love to hear your thoughts. It was you who did the report the last time on the different radios right?

Tried the ROM and after 5 soft resets it finally ran. Scott is the only persons ROM that has ever started correctly for me when it comes to 6.5.

Hey, I'm having a weird SMS syncing issue... like my SMS's are being stored in two different places depending on whether I have sent a message to a person or not. One is of course the typical SMS program that is used in windows mobile and the other I'm totally lost on. They show up in TF3D on the messaging tab but don't seem to exist in "all messages". Messages that come in as replies to converstaions I've already said something in (like I either started the convo or replied to something someone sent) don't wind up in the messaging tab. When I reply to messages that come in to the tab really strange things start to happen, it appears to be resending my replies every time I open the thread (so the first time I reply they get one message, then if they text me back and I reply again they get the reply plus the first message etc.) For additional confusion when I reply, my reply shows up in the default messaging program but the message I replied to is still missing. And I get no notifications of received messages...

I'm using Scott's default manilla UI in my build with arcsoft MMS included. Those are the only package choices I can think of that may have affected the SMS capabilities my build. I didn't include any outside OEM's.

Cooked on kitchen 1.6A with base 21042

Did you do a hard reset after the first startup? I think this is an issue that was experienced by some user but not all and a hard reset fixed for them.

yes, it was me who did the radio tests, and no, I haven't seen that one yet. It'll probably be after the 21st before I get a achance to test it for you.

I hate to admit it, but I've not used s2u2 since version 1.42 It changed too quickly for me to keep up with, and was a bit glitchy. I'll try it again when I'm done reading about problems with it LOL.

Thanks for this option, but right now, I'd prefer trying to alter the cab. If i fail, I may PM you for more details (because i'm not a programmer) but I'm not sure that i see the sense in it. Since you still have to monitor the process to click on the "OK" button, I don't really see the advantage. If I can figure out this cab thing, I'm hoping everything will run automatically.

Dump it in yer OEM folder in yer kitchen.

DONE SON!

Ever tried Ervius package creator? That's what I have been using. If you do it right, you can follow Scott's original selections, without having to edit the option XML's.
