I haven't really checked that hard, mostly because im not sure what to search for, but has there been a fix for sms where reading a text in the threaded view will mark them as read in manila?

I tried using TC and that NEVER works for me. I dont know why I hear all this talk that only TC will let you remove certain system files but I have had no problems deleting them straight from the director when I explore with Active SYnc

I was able to delete it, but first you have to change the 'read-only" attribute to something else using a file explorer like TC.

another fix i forgot to add, if anyone gets the 'red screen of death", this happens sometime if you try to changer your wallpaper from the settings tab in touch flo, the screen goes completley red.

this doesnt happen to everyone, but if it happens to you, go into your windows folder and delete 'htcphotopicker.exe'

THANK YOU for this. I was getting pretty tired of seeing RED!

I kept thinking I couldn't get TP2 to work, but it was simply their number. I have friends with more than one cell phone. When I reply to them or send a new text to them using a number that isn't listed in the "mobile number" field in contacts I receive a 'not available' error.

Anyone know how this can be fixed?

have you applied the cdma sms fix i posted a few pages back?

Do you guys know see why I dont like including ported or beta style work into the kitchen???

Just for the record...... I didint want to put it in. I did it because you all requested it about 30 pages back when I was taking requests for the 1.6 Core. I complied ;c)

Its all yours now..... Im not trying to be a prick so if I am coming off like one then my bad. I am just being honest as to why I never put these new Manila builds in before. Too much of a support headache.

Now... I fi had my own BBS...... This woudl be MUCH easier!

Rob, whats up?

+1

It's BETA!!!

Although, I'm gonna' play devil's advocate for a sec...

I don't think anybody has really flown off the handle here, just had simple questions that others helped with. Private message may be a different story though. LOL

IF beta stuff is included, I would make the following suggestions:
- On your main page, include a link to the original posts. TF3D2 at xda-developers, for example.
- Include downloads in the first page and/or on your website along side the ROM, as they are found and posted, so that users have someplace to download.

There's nothing more frustrating then to go download a beta app and have link after link after link on that page for "install this fix"..."and install this fix"..."and install this fix"...and...and...and....blah blah blah!!! Let alone not having any point of reference in this thread to download those fixes. We have a random post several pages back that Redd was kind enough to post. Those need to be moved to the front page (just in case the thread gets deleted?).

You could say the frustration with beta is as much your fault for not having provided at least a location to get proper support. In that case, you can only expect to have to support what you don't want to. Time is a factor and we all understand how hard you work on these things in the limited time you have.

I personally agree with you, and I wouldn't really care how much people asked for it, I just would have never put it in. Stick by your guns and give us what you KNOW is stable. That's why we love your ROMs in the first place. =) Do what you do best. There's already 10+ variations of TF3D2 as it is. Let them play with those until they mature.

Scott,

I hope you took my previous post appropriately. I wasn't trying to bash you. I work in IT Consulting and if I don't provide someone with a support number for a client to call for a product I install, guess who they call.....yup!...ME!!! I was just suggesting, defer as much fodder as you can by directing people to where the questions should be asked. =)

ZIMMAY!

The unfortunate thing is that the TP2 manila is still so beta and requires so much to be done to get it to work that it has basically hijacked this forum and it makes it much more difficult for people who are having issues with the non TP2 manila ROMs to read through for solutions to their issues.

TP2 manila is nice but it is SOOOOO buggy and now 21198 is the red headed stepchild when it should have so much more light on it because it is MORE STABLE than TP2.

if anyone has anymore questions about the rhodium manila go to this thread in the software forumhttp://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61809

it is specifically designed for it. most of the questions people are asking here have already been covered in that post so search the thread before asking questions please.

OHHHHHHHHH!!!! Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I agree, but disagree. I am the last one to try something to play with, like 6.5. If you didn't get distracted by a "minor" emergency, then I would have agreed wholeheartedly, but that 2 week delay gave the Xbox crew a chance to clean up TP2. Although a few bugs still remain, I jumped right in and Flashed 21042 and TP2 and I am not sorry that I did. I find it quite usable and I am happy with it (and I love the TP2 changes). If I didn't think it was ready for "Prime Time", I wouldn't have used it. The biggest problem with all "beta" builds is that some people refuse to do the necessary reading and research. Just like some of the posts we have responded to here. They are asking questions that were answered earlier in the day....just a couple of pages back. As you probably noticed last nite, I got frustrated answering questions that a little reading would have resolved. In addition to that, if you had made available a link to XBox's thread and suggested looking there first, you would have had fewer questions (although that is obnoxiously long and rambling). However, REDD214's posts about the changes (with attached cabs) really helped and should have stopped most questions right there. We do have guys here that will flash 'vaporware" and their knowledge is most useful.

The other "GREAT IDEA" I had for your new website is to include an EXCEL Spreadsheet Matrix identifying all the different kitchens and ROMS. OS Build Numbers and Apps would go vertically in Col 1, Each Kitchen and ROM would go in ROW 1. A checkmark (or "X") would go into the appropriate cell if the ROM included that particular app or OS. For each of your different builds, in this matrix, you could also include the default pagepool size (since it differs). A matrix like this would make an easier decision on which of your many choice to choose.

FYI: Here is a good link to the Rhodium stuff from FATBOY who consolidated all of XBoxMods stuff buy eliminated the garbage.
