Within the dialer, backlight shuts off after 10 secs of no touching, as opposed to the 1 minute I have it set at.

In either case, it should be at least 1 min.
i've switched the setting to 5, 10 mins, and also indefinitely, and in each case it will still shut off after 10/30 seconds -- ignoring my settings.

At any rate, like I said, thank MM, but I need stability, and I can't flash my phone multiple times each day just to tinker with it -- now if I got paid for a living to do that that would be another story...but as it stands, going back to MR5 where everything worked.

Oh, and I nearly missed a meeting this morning because I figured out (at nearly the last minute) that the alarm I selected didn't sound for whatever reason...
I think Mike said it had something to do with the new drivers so just wait it out for a hotfix.

I'll give it a shot, and admittedly haven't tried the 2 min setting, but at this point Im willing to try anything so long as I dont have to hard-reset and reflash another ROM again.

Will report back.
I will forbid you to not reflash any MR ROMs ever again if you use anything else beside Mighty Mike's ROMs!!!

Well, I set all of my times to 2 mins (both battery and external), soft-reset the phone, launched TomTom, but once again, after 30 seconds the backlight turned off on its own.

I've got a meeting tomorrow morning (unfamiliar part of town) and I'll be needing my TomTom, so I can't have the screen auto-offing on me like that.

Outside of TomTom, it still shuts off after 30 seconds, and it is currently connected to the AC adapter via USB.

Even if I remove it from the adapter, and run it off battery, it will still auto-off after 30 seconds of no physical interaction.

Looks like I have to flash back to MR5 now...

Wish I could wait for a hotfix, need my TomTom tomorrow morning

And nah, I will always use Mighty's ROMs.
Been a devout user for nearly a year now, so by flashing "another" ROM, i was merely implying Mighty's other ROM, MR5

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

I just flashed the MR6 on my phone a few nights ago, loved it. Everything was 10 times faster and ran very smooth. Just the other day my phone started to freeze for a good 30 secs, then everything kinda just happened at once. I also noticed that the letters on the screen could not keep up with me typing (im a fast typer).
I think im gunna flash MR5 and see how that works out for me.

but still non the less I <3 MR6

This is immediately after flashing the ROM and before I had received any texts or setup my email.

Go back to stock and reflash with a new DL of MR6? I had issues before with MR6 and Hard resets wouldn't do it. Mike suggested to go back to stock and reflash with a new DL and it fixed my problem. <3
