Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

Well, I guess I spoke to soon in another one of my posts.

The backlight/screen turns off again after 30 seconds of use no matter what settings I select in the Power Settings menu.

I hard-resetted, reflashed, you name it, and yet after 1 day of use, the 30 second screen-off bug hits again.

Going back to MR5 for now.

Thanks for your hard work anyways MM, but not sure I can use this ROM day to day -- I need stability.

I went to start, settings, system, power and look under the advance menu and selected 1 minute and it worked for me the back light does not turn off for a whole complete minute.

So far I've been using finger keyboard and by far is the best. Here is the link. Make sure you download the VGA.

Anyways, gave you a thanks, this is great!
It's the keyboard. I am currently using the Juicy one because it's more finger friendly. The other works just fine though.

Try to clear your inbox and trash bin. I have to do so every other day if not I get the slow texting again.

No idea what your problem could be. I get picture, name, etc. All I can tell you is to go back to stock first, redownload MR6 and reflash + clear storage afterwards.

Well,
It was like that for me too, for about 1 day, but then all of a sudden the bug hit again.

30 seconds of no physical activity causes the backlight to auto-off in apps such as TomTom and well, just about most any other app.

Within the dialer, backlight shuts off after 10 secs of no touching, as opposed to the 1 minute I have it set at.

In either case, it should be at least 1 min.
i've switched the setting to 5, 10 mins, and also indefinitely, and in each case it will still shut off after 10/30 seconds -- ignoring my settings.

At any rate, like I said, thank MM, but I need stability, and I can't flash my phone multiple times each day just to tinker with it -- now if I got paid for a living to do that that would be another story...but as it stands, going back to MR5 where everything worked.

Oh, and I nearly missed a meeting this morning because I figured out (at nearly the last minute) that the alarm I selected didn't sound for whatever reason...

Try setting it for 2 minutes. I have mine set for 2 minutes, and no problems, but when I had it set for 1 minute, I had problems... Good luck!

Hmmm, interesting suggestion .

I'll give it a shot, and admittedly haven't tried the 2 min setting, but at this point Im willing to try anything so long as I dont have to hard-reset and reflash another ROM again.

Will report back.
