Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

To be honest, i would say this is normally the case, especially with the first timers. There are a few 6.5 bugs, but other than that, the basic rom works. All these other cabs people are installing, read the thread, thats where 95% these complaints are coming from. Again, good job Mike.

Well, whatever the reason, it's now fixed.
The backlight/screen does not automatically turn off after 30 seconds of inacticity anymore in apps such as TomTom, and the power settings stick.

It's odd because I had hard resetted before as well (after initially installing it), but I am now trying to ascertain which app may have been the culprit (still haven't installed all of my apps).

Anyways, the problem is fixed as far as Im concerned.

Loving the ROM now!

You know how it takes you to the keyboard option screen to setup color, language, etc. then you apply and it finishes installing. Well I didnt mess with a thing just said ok and let it complete. Then started a text message and went to keyboard options and made my ajustment then. The 2 things that should now be check are under the HTC xT9 tab (SMS name suggestion and Text Wird Suggestion). Hope this help because this is all that I did to fix my problem.
Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.

I uninstalled the FingerKeyboard and EZinput then soft reset and reinstalled FingerKeyboard. This time I didn't change any settings. I also don't know what to do with the WM suggestion settings in the Input control panel. I tried it with everything off and with everything on and FingerKeyboard has now greyed out the T9 and SMS checkboxes! I can't check them. However, it seems like in the WM-style drop down I get both numbers and e-mails so I can probably make do. Do you have any other advice on what I should do? It's just that I found the HTC suggestions to be more finger friendly.

I have noticed. My signal got worse with MR5 from stock Sprint (same radio) and seems to have gotten slightly worse again with MR6. I have no idea how that even works.

I haven't received many phone calls on MR6 yet but I can say that at least using the HTC volume control that Mike bakes in, the system and ring volumes operate independently like they always have. Is that your problem or that they appear to set to different levels but the ring ends up getting controlled by the system volume setting?

You bet! Glad I could help! In that thread theres a bunch of links for icons, and I'm pretty sure you can request custom icons for apps that haven't had icons customized yet.

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

Interesting...when I initially had an issue with it, I tried a couple different Arcsoft Versions, and ended up having to hard reset before it would work. Since then, with installing only that cab on a clean install (flash then hard reset), I have yet to have an issue.

Maybe try hard resetting then installing the cab I posted?

I am no longer able to compose new text messages. For whatever reason, the contact I type in gets replaced by a single number and the message will not send. I started a thread about it here:
