Re: [July 16th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

Darn, As Much as I love this rom, I gotta go back to trusty Old MR5. just having 3 minor issues..

1.programs under start stretch big only in landscape sometimes, so instead of the programs being viewable some of them steer off page....

2. when trying to type in opera switching from portrait to landscape it would look wierd andthey keyboard would lag bad.....

3. every now and then say every3 hours typing on ezinput on the on screen keyboard, the phone would freeze for like 3 to 5 seconds.

now i do have over 60 cabs installed that may not be playing nice with it, but mr5 handles all cabs I throw at it and dont act strange......

now MR5 is perfect on my end and not on others, so I figure its the phones acting different, cause i couldnt imagine any problems on MR5, but others have them and not me..... Everyone phones diff and MR5 just likes my phone...

thanks mighty!

I am having screen freezing problems, especially when playing games, or when I use SPB Mobile Shell with video acceleration enabled. The delays usually last 5+ seconds before the phone starts responding again.

yea, the wide stretched programs only happened about 2 times a day.. Maybe its a certain program while opened that causes that glitch when i switch to Landscape, but it was definantly on the first release too.. I bet the 4 portrait and 6 landscape start menu cab. wouldhave fixed that...

the other one was no biggie, just a refresh of the page would fix the opera problem.... But still annoying........

i hope everyone isnt having these minor issues, cause other than the problems that are due mainly on my end, this rom is fast and smooth..

I've heard other people talk about it, but it was a first for me. To be honest I don't have any other the other issues I here complains about and I install a good amount of additional cabs myself. Thanks for the info though and Mike also for another great rom update.
DID u use pimbackup, for ur restoring files... try deleting text messages before restoring files.,

I've done a search and looked through the .cab thread, but what do you think are your 5 must have apps. Like "if you don't have these you're severely missing out!"

I hear people say all the time "the iphone doesn't have anything you can't do with a TP" however I just feel its a LOT harder to find the good for the TP since its not as widely distributed.

I don't know about a specific relation to the SIP, but I have been getting the same WM6.5 slow downs and freezups. The thing is I noticed them almost right away without installing much at all. But I still like this rom better than the last.

Is anybody else getting this eerie feeling that we aren't going to see many or any WM6.5 devices on the consumer market and just skip right to WM7? It seems like WM6.5 should either have fewer bugs at this stage OR we should be seeing devices hitting the market natively installed with it, which I am not.

To be honest, that's one of those posts that could go on forever. I'd start that post in the general forum.

It's not just you. As far as I can tell that is a fact of life with WM6.5, still.
