Re: [ 9-28 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I'm cooking with manila for the first time in a while, and I cant get something fixed. When I go to settings, click on wallpaper so I can change it and the album comes up, it will not scroll with my finger - I have to use the directional pad on the phone and click up and down to get it to move... it also happens when I try to add a picture to my favorite contacts. I'm using the 3.0 album for the manila 2.1. It works in Calku's prebuilt ROM but I can't get it to work on mine. Everything else seems to scroll fine with my finger, just not the album! Any suggestions? TIA!

I did the same,
The only xip.bin that i can find is in the .rom/Diamond folder. Do I overwrite that file ?

Trial and error.

Overwrote the file and ran the kitchen,
That don't work, I get the sys to show up but not the xip.

Made a copy of /rom/diamond/23053 and renamed it 23060 and a xip for 23060 showed up.

Don't know if this is right or not but the rom built fine with no errors.

I'm just kinda fraid to flash it to my phone just yet.

I followed the instructions on the page at XDA. I can run the Kitchen without errors. I can build a rom but the result is only a file of 3 MB in size... That won't work. Somebody can help me with that? What could be my problem?? Probably there is something I misunderstood

Hey Calk,

I added the new HTCVolumeControl 2.2.1918.3727.20 and was wondering how to keep the TSowen Taskbar Icon for Volume control?? It reverted back to the stock icons. Thanks for any info.

Re: [ 9-28 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

ATTENTION EVERYONE. I have actually built a rom with the new 23060. First download and extract the files from digital attics post. Move the folder named 23060 to the sys folder. Move the xip.bin to the rom/touchpro folder. Create a new folder in the rom/shared directory named 23060 and move the remaing file there. Now, rename 23053 in the rom/touchpro directory to 23060 or make a copy and rename it. Now, you will get an error and only create a small file if you run it now. You have to go into the sys folder that you just copied in and delete the metadata folder as calk has it already in the oem. Now run your kitchen and it will produce a wonderful rom.

This took me only 14 hours to figure out!

HTH

Please ask questions if i wasn't specific enough

This pertains to anyone getting the 2 packages.cif error and no xip

You can use the 23060 XIP, you only need to replace gwes.exe from the previous build. You will always delete the meta folder everytime you bring in a new SYS.

+1, why you would replace a file gwes.exe with another??

Also, can someone tell me what would be the best value for the Page Pool?

Thanks
