Yeah umm, nevermind I'm not even going to say it.

My problem was a tomtom oem I made, it had a file 'phone.dll' which overwrote something during the build. It was a 0 byte file anyway so I erased it from the oem and all is well.

"warn on overwrite" is my new friend.

Yes, it should be fine; just make sure you have a 1-1 match for each folder from an earlier build.

You also need to use the MSXIPKernel and port it for old style kitchen. If that's foreign to you, then you shouldn't attempt this.

I would appreciate a bit of help. I downloaded this and put the 23060 folder into the sys folder and then added the msxipkernal into the a 23060 folder I made in the ROM/shared folder. I then added the packages text document. I get the sys to show up in the kitchen, but the xip does not show up. Am I missing something? And what do I do with the xip.bin file?

to be honest, i got lost with the pictorial! can you tell us step by step or maybe load a kitchen already updated?
from the looks of it its just replacing files in folders, so if you decide to do a step by step, it wouldnt be hard to explain nor long to explain...

someone guide me in the right direction.
im sure there are other ways to do this but this is what i have been doing. since you already made an oem, in the thools folder there is a ext packages builder in there. drag the oem that you made and drop it on the ext packages builder and it will turn your oem to an ext. then put that into the ext/shared folder. then in the ext/ahared folder there is a packages.txt. if you edit that just copy exactly your new exts name into a new line and make sure you copy/paste the "goofy symbol true" to the end of its name just like the rest of the lines
