Uncheck htc taskbar in the kitchen and leave showcase suite checked. Using the olde, designed for <6.5 HTC task manager defeats the purpose of moving your common control touches to the bottom. Showcase is a nice integration.

I have been using wktask which is nice because you can see your running programs in the taskbar. There is some customizing to do and some exclusion entries. But do a google search for wktask for 6.5 and there is a guy who already preentered all the exclusions and then you can go to the config and uncheck use skin then under design change both colors to black then on the main tab change the left align to 0 and adjust the right align until it reaches the taskbar icons and your're set. nnow you can see all running programs and easily press and hold to terminate or close them as well as switch. You can also assign wktask to a button and then you can easily and quickly switch programs by hardware key also assign a button it it's nice quick launch buttons.

Also a plug for the best pay program out there, phonex. It is much faster and much more reliable than HTC dialer as well as super slick and it also works with the TF3D dialing shortcuts. The favs, contact manager etc are the best I have ever seen on a winmo device.

Audio problem solved!!
The TF3D audio tab would not read my card. I finally recooked with the old audio maneger, not the 2.?? for Rhodium and all works well. Calk, thanks for the work.

Correct. Showcase I believe is listed under Enatives showcase suite

to use it you just click and hold the start icon and it pops up full screen finger friendly,

Two nice programs to use to find out the WindowClass name for anything.

Raphael Keyboard Customizer
Get Active Class

Install both THEN reboot

The keyboard customizer installs to settings\system

Go there and start the app. Menu > Add Key. Check combine with FN. pick a key and click it on the hardware keyboard. Click action > Run program then select Programs > Program Files > GetActiveClass > GetActiveClass.exe
Don't worry about trying to name the key. Then on the main screen click update.

In any program open the hardware keyboard and hit FN+(whatever key you chose). The WindowClass will appear.

I browsed and searched all 450 pages of this thread as best I could but see no answer. I got a huge issue with this rom that is draining the power from my phone. My backlight won't turn off when the screen goes black. It will dim, but won't shut off the backlight when it goes into standby. And when I turn the screen back on, it does this weird pixelization thing then shows the screen normally. Anyone know what this is? How to fix? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Partially Solved]

This might be a very basic question, but I am posting in my favorite ROM thread here... I see when I connect to PC via USB it gives me an option to Internet... do I need to have Activesync in order to use it as modem ?? Reason I am asking is that I have a netbook and am trying to keep/install only most required s/w on it.. if I can get by without having to install and run ActiveSync - better it would be for me.

I don't plan to keep a relationship (like syncing contacts / calendar etc) with netbook, but only use it to surf via my PPC...

One last question - will the PPC as Modem work via bluetooth also ?

Edit : I found by experimenting that I did need ActiveSync for TP to be recognized in teh first place... but other than that I killed AS and it sweetly and smoothly just simply connecetd

I am so happy... have had SERO for 2+ years now and Data plan with Sprint for 5-6 years... but never tried.. hope they don't come back with extra charges for casual browsing for news etc from the train

yes to the bluetooth, but i personally love the wirless ap app that caulk uses with his rom. Your netbook will connect to your phone with 802.11 and you can cruise the internet that way. Don't worry about any fee's. I have been using 2-6 gig a month and have never been charged an extra penny
