"Better" is a very broad word....

I built w/ that ones that were posted in this thread last weekend, by indagroove, I believe, but could be wrong and don't feel like going back 14 pages. They weren't calk's creations, but I got a good feel from them. and a huge thank you to the super awsome person that posted them!

I like 23506. Not any less stable than 23088 but it has a few of the newer wm packages and SEEMS faster. But, honestly, there isn't a huge difference. 23506 is the new com 5 branch that the com 3 and 4 branches will be merged to, so I am staying w/ the com 5.

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Every time I build a 23506 rom, I get problems syncing with Windows 7 Mobile Device Center. However if I use Calk's 23506 rom, it syncs perfectly. Any reason why?

Did anyone ever figure out how to get the new WM 6.5 lock screen with the email/txt/phone notification sliders working on a 23506 ROM?

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Thank you for all of your hard work Calk. I love your ROMs.
One issue I've been having in the last few ROMs is that midomi music ID won't initiate and keep a data connection.

I'm using the 23506 build right now, and it starts a data connection when you first open and sample with midomi, but then it turns off the data and hangs in the search mode. Most of the time, I can get it to work by opening opera or manually starting a data session.

Anyone else having this issue?

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Downloaded the 4.2 kitchen, trying to build a 21055 rom, but no matter what I do, the phone loads the rom, reboots and gets stuck on the Touchpro boot screen (with the red text at the bottom, radio version etc) and will not go further. Ive tried lots of different configurations of 21055 builds, leaving things out (manilla like i usually do) and just straight out of the box (i.e. not changing the stock configuration selections that the kitchen starts with the first time you select 21055) and I cant get it to do anything different. Ive also tried several different pagepool sizes to no avail, just in case that was the problem. Any suggestions?

Id count myself as a noob, but ive been building roms from calks kitchens since v2 now and havent had any problems till now. It might help to mention that I did succeed in building a 21876 rom, but i went back to 21055 because i liked it better and thats when i started having the problems.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Right off hand, when you went back to 21055 did you change the ext back to 6.1?

Thanks for that. Just flashed what I thought was a perfect 23056 rom from the 4.2 Kitchen, installed that cab and noticed my gsensor didn't work anymore. I'm glad I found your post - thanks.

I got the gsensor to work now, but Opera still won't rotate. Does anyone know what reg changes that cab makes or how to get rotation working again in opera?

Thanks.

Anyone else get terrible pixelated screen corruption when using SmartLock 1.7E? If so, any fixes? Using 23071 ROM. Oh and this is the best ROM...Thanks!

Welrope-
Yes, i did go back to 6.1. Thanks for the suggestion though, that sounds exactly like something I would do.

Also, another note, Ive actually thrown away and re-unpacked the 7zip file several times to make sure i had the "out of the box" selections only and still no luck.
