the htc text selection isn't the standard kind of selection you see when you try to select a text in poutlook. it gives you icons for start and end points and you can drag them around to select text at your own leisure. it even shows a floating bar of buttons to cut/copy the text. so far, this new htc text selection is only used on the leo htc messaging client.

yea, but what in the app.dat am i looking to fix? if i remove that program from my selections, will that make it work?

you should look into initflashfiles.txt and app.dat files. They are crucial when using a kitchen. But, for now, replace the app.dat in the LockScreen Application Launcher with the one in this zip file...

compare the two in your favorite text editor and look at the files in the package. you will see what was changed and why.

word of warning.... the lockscreen may work, but it may not always show the notifications. that's out of my expertiese and is probably in the hands of microsoft.

thats fine, i dont really care for it to show the notifications, i just want it to lock! also, have you built using the 23088 build? if you have, is it better than 23506?
