I love the new icons as well. I also like the "wow" factor of the panoramic backgrounds but none of the backgrounds so far have worked for me because they seem to be difficult to read while glancing. This is very important while driving. I am still loading around 1200 contacts and 3000 appointments from my exchange server but so far seems to be running really well.

I've been using WM65x since it was first available, and at the start, I knew about "tap & hold" to move icons up to the top of the menu.

Today, I was fooling around with the startmenu and pressed/held an icon with my finger, and viola... I could move it around anywhere on the start menu!

I don't recall seeing anyone post about this on any of the forums, so either I'm really out of touch (no pun intended... hehe) or this is something we haven't tried yet.

Anyway, beats the heck out of editing the registry to get your icon order personalized

Wow, I can't seem to figure out how to get the HTC volume panel to load. If I add the volume control package, the volume buttons only scroll up and down. If I omit volume package, I get the stock volume bubble. I am using 6.1 21055. I have tried disabling everything except the volume control package, building roms with manila 1.2, 2.0, 2.1, HTC phone canvas, tachi canvas, ez input, etc, with no luck. I have verified that the registry setting is correct: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\HTCVolumeControl, with no luck.

I have also omitted the package, then added a cab for HTC volume and it always does the same thing.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I've searched this thread but I couldn't seem to find where sprint tv/navigation are located. I'm currently on the 10/3 23420 rom and was formerly on the 9/28 23414 rom, and I couldn't find either app on the phone. Was this something only available on one of the other com branches?

Guys, forgive my lack of serious searching. ive been in the hospital for a few days with my wife welcoming our first child.

so i see Showcase was taken out. I assume because it was determined buggy? So we are now back to task manager not closing programs with "x" button. Is this correct?
