nah, i am not that well versed with android. i am sure the devs will have a step by step for all us noobs. i'll be busy anyway on my car, i'll let someone else make the guide if the devs don't, haha.

froyo is nice but even if you get rooted the froyo aosp hasn't been released so creating a froyo rom isn't possible. Google has released a froyo rom for the nexus but developers can't create froyo roms from this, they need the source codes. But rooting does bring wifi access as well as custom roms, with and without htc sense, not to mention bloatware can be removed and apps2sd can be installed.

Sounds good to me due to the fact my Rom will be android 2. 1 stock ( very few widgets) with since

LOL I am very surprised this isn't rooted yet! I am staying the week with my brother and he got his Incredible last month. We were hoping that this would be rooted by the time I got here because I have the Hero and have had mine rooted since the first week I got it and am able to run better apps because of this. making my Hero better then his Incredible (better apps....not faster, there is a difference).

Maybe its just the difference between Sprint and Verizon? Evo has already been rooted and its not even out yet....
