Video seems decent enough, would be nicer if you could really see the screen, I would try it if I had an Incredible Buttttt BB isn't as fun as Android and that is what my Verizon account is rockin at the moment I am sure with this progress it is only a matter of time before it is MUCH easier for you guys.

I agree...I have been watching it when I can here at work and it is a bit confusing and messy to watch, but in conjunction with the posted instructions, it is becoming clearer to me. I am sure an easier way will be out soon, the devs are staying quiet for the most part, and the IRC is by invite only, so they are taking this pretty seriously this time and I have a feeling we will have a very easy (relatively as far as Androis rooting goes) root procedure within the week (actually I would guess this weekend, but I don't know what challenges they face).

I know a lot of this is confusing for most basic WM users coming to Android, but once you get the hang of it, all the ADB stuff is pretty easy. I will keep my eyes peeled to see what you guys get I hope you are ready to make some ROMs when root comes around.

The video was kinda messy but it was pretty easy to do. I just paused at each step. I am so glad to have WiFi tethering back. Can't wait to have so custom ROM's

OK...I took the leap and after three nights managed to root!!!!!

I found the key for me to be getting a PNY card (2Gb @ Walmart or Best Buy only $10)!!

I can now tether and I also have an LED flashlight!!!! Woohoo!!!! The two top things on my list to do. I didn't bother removing CityID because it doesn't really bother me and I can renew the trial time ever 15 days to keep using it, so no sweat!!!

Any questions, please feel free to ask. I am a total noobie to this and never did anything like it, so if I managed it....well...you know!!!!

Updating first post now. Found an app that, if it works for you, makes root as easy as 1....2...3 (OK maybe a couple more steps LOL)

Not fool-proof, it is just as iffy to work as any other way posted anywhere, but I figured I would supply a choice for people considering rooting!!
